Jimmy Carter: The Daily Telegraph
Obama can transform America's image, says Jimmy Carter
Former President Jimmy Carter has given Barack Obama a major boost by calling for the bitter Democratic nomination battle to end on June 3rd and speaking glowingly of his ability to “transform the image” of America.
Mr Carter did not formally endorse Mr Obama but in an interview with The Daily Telegraph made crystal clear where his sympathies lie. He even sketched out the kind of inaugural address the first black United States president could deliver.
Coming from the most distinguished of some 300 uncommitted "super-delegates” - the Democratic party leaders who will crown their party’s nominee - Mr Carter’s new public stance is a blow to Hillary Clinton’s chances of winning the White House.
"I don’t see any reason at all to continue after June 3rd when we know who got the most [pledged] delegates, who got the most popular votes, who won the most states and so forth,” said Mr Carter

Hillary is the only viable Republican candidate. That's why she's still in the race.
I could be wrong, but I think it's the biggest fallacy to think that Republicans just want to run against her so they can launch the attack machines and take her down in the GE.
I think the Republicans are hoping to have two candidates in the GE. Hillary and McCain.
And they have more confidence that Hillary can win.
Keep in mind, Hillary has excepted more money from corporate lobbyists and special interests than any other candidate. Bill has millions of undisclosed donations to his library. Bill has relationships and likely obligations with countries like Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan.
Hillary has forged relationships with all the right wing neocons and I don't believe it's because they're just indulging her.
Power isn't affiliated with one party or the other anymore.
Big money will support anyone who can win that party.
