"Disgusting" is letting him off lightly.
After reading the linked article, I found myself starring at Huck's photo and wondering what must go through his mind on a daily basis to have that be a spontaneous thought / reaction to the noise.
Going further, it speaks volumes as to his opinions of the NRA populace to think they would somehow find his comment funny instead of repugnant.
I call on McCain to reject and denounce Huckabee's comments. However, that will not happen. Who knows, Huck could be his running mate.

I'm sensitive to this kind of stuff, even as a joke. I get very upset when people joke about it. Huckabee isn't a terribly mean and horrible person, he was just trying to be funny and topical. But it's clear from some of the other stuff going on lately that the General Election will be much nastier and shameful on the race front (i.e. - the Curious George T-shirts, and I think there were attacks on Obama supporters in Indiana...).

One redeeming thing about it is that the audience did laugh at the first part of the joke, which was in good humor, but, did not find the extended version funny, except for a few nervous laughs.
It's gone viral and most news organizations are covering it. Say bai bai to that VP Huckabee.
