I read the whole article (as proof, I will share with you that everything white is now pink, to my eyes), and agree with it (my feelings for the Clintons are well known), but it reminds me of something Camille Paglia said yesterday in her weekly article: She wonders how much young Democrats really know about the Clinton presidency.
So many of Hillary's younger supporters seem to have this vision of Bill Clinton as being some sort of a super-hero. Do they get this idea from their parents? Do they do any homework at all? The MSM has clearly done their best to keep issues like Whitewater, Vince Foster, and cattle futures under wraps. These stories are "untouchable".
Do young Clinton supporters know about any of it? And if so, why would they still support her?

LOL
Yes, Green needs to change the template on his site!
And you're so right about the 90s. What's amazing is how they talk about Bill Clinton as some sort of political genius. Aside from selling out on everything the Democratic Party ever stood for, he began his term in January '93 and within two years Newt Gingrich was running the country.
And it was this "political genius" that got himself impeached. Then -- true to the Clintonian character -- refused to resign, which would have left Al Gore as an incumbent for 2000. All the stolen or not-counted votes in the world would not have given the election to Bush with an incumbent Gore.
Bill Clinton was death for the Democratic Party.

I think young people generally view authority figures as "godlike" when they are quite young. So for many who were in elementary school during the clinton years that would pertain. Once you have this idealized view of a person or people, it's hard to eradicate. But not impossible! Think of teenagers viewing their parents as "human."
But I think that answers your question. They were young enough that the "president" seemed like this godlike figure - all knowing, all powerful, all good. Not true, but that may have been their youthful perception.
