Hillary’s preparing for an Obama loss in November.
BILLINGS, MONT. -- During an evening rally in Montana’s largest city Tuesday night, Hillary Clinton explained to the crowd why she should be the Democratic Party’s nominee, but what ensued was a list of overstatements and exaggerations as she made her case. "You have to ask yourself, who is the stronger candidate? And based on every analysis, of every bit of research and every poll that has been taken and every state that a Democrat has to win, I am the stronger candidate against John McCain in the fall," she said.
What Hillary is doing here, is she’s getting her words ‘On Record’ that she ‘warned’ the Democrats back in May that ‘she’ would be the best candidate to go up against John McCain.
If Barack Obama doesn’t win in November, Hillary and Bill will be saying, “We Told You So!”
After Hillary concedes, in public you will most likely see Hillary and Bill supporting Obama; but behind the scenes I’m betting they will be trying to hurt Barack Obama’s chances in Nov. Perhaps they’ll be the ones leaking information to the press/media?
If I were Barack Obama, I sure wouldn’t have any private conversations or plans discussed while these two are around.
To those of you who think Hillary and Bill would 'never' do such a thing -- remember this. Hillary has planned on being President since Bill walked away from the White House back in 2001. Barack Obama, a relatively unknown black man has 'stolen' (her thoughts) the nomination from her. By all rights, SHE should be the one being nominated in August - not this black man (her thoughts).
As Geraldine Ferraro (a big supporter of Hillary's) stated, he's only where he's at --because he's black.

She is just going to be disappointed again.

And Obama's running because he thinks he would be the worse candidate versus McCain?
All candidates think they're the best; that's why they run (except for the few who run more as a novelty so they can get a talk show or a regular guest appearence as a talking head).
Put the Kool-Aid down, step outside and get some fresh air.

Don't be shocked when you find out Hillary was behind a leak of a new scandal in the future.

You really need to take a deep breath... Calm down. I dont think she is thinking this way at all. In fact, several polls back her up that she is running stronger against McCain in many areas and in many demographics. She is pointing out facts.
Yes, many people thought she would be the nominee. I know many Clinton supporters and have never heard the word stolen, that is only used for the naive and hateful folks on this blog. But lets talk about the other side of the coin here for a second. I have said very often both here and in other blogs, I want to vote for a black man for president. I think it is time. I think Senator Obama will make a good candidate. Unfortunately I think there is a decidedly better candidate, who happens to be a woman. So, I am sticking by my original choice here. As much as I want to see Senator Obama in the White House someday, I think Senator Clinton is better suited for the task at hand. No, Obama hasnt stolen the nominee, that is a term tossed around only in this TPM echo chamber. And no, Senator Clinton, despite the many delusions and conspiracies you have alluded to in this and other posts, has the good of the American people at heart and will support the nominee 100%.

She has already lost the nomination contest. Her continued negative campaigning against Sen Obama in the face of that fact (which she is all to aware of) shows that she does not want him to win in the fall.

That's not what her supporters say. They say they will vote for McCain no matter what she says.

I would like to remind folks that HALF of America doesn't even KNOW who Obama is - where as nearly ALL American's know who Hillary and McCain are.
It's natural to vote for a person's name you recognize. That's why you see polls showing Hillary or McCain ahead right now.

Simple logic. It's a fact that most voters that vote during the general election do not vote during the primaries.
Most people just vote at the General election.
As far as them knowing Hillary or McCain BETTER than Obama -- that's simple to understand - they are lifers remember...he's not.

She just doesn't want you Obamabots blaming her when he loses. Obviously, though, you guys are already preparing to blame her when he loses. How pathetic.
She knows that the perfect storm will be over in 2012. The economy has to be better; the gas price situation will have improved or at least not be so shockingly aggravated. After Bush whoever wins will appear to be Einstein, Roosevelt and Washington rolled into one. If we lose this, she will not even consider running in 2012. Remember where you heard it first.
I'm sure she'll do what she can to help Obama win, but really, the losing candidate becomes irrelevant pretty quickly (unless s/he becomes the Veep choice). She have no money, no support infra-structure, no bully pulpit, nothing.
It's been pointed out over and over again that the anti-Clinton vitriol and hatred you see here, on other blogs and even the MSM is scaring Clinton supporters away from your candidate. It would help your candidate if you would stop accusing her of being the Anti-Christ all the time.
I made a deal with Ben and a couple of others. I said I'd volunteer (as I always have) to help your candidate in the general if they'd promise not to blame Clinton when he lost. It would be nice to her one Obama supporter promise not to blame her when he loses.

The weird thing for me is that I distinctly remember how often during the 90's, hearing some Conservative diatribe against Hillary, I would think "why the vitriolic anger?" It was always so in your face - an anger level blatantly disproportionate to the offense.
Since becoming involved in the blogging part of the campaign late (I left a 60-80hr/wk job), it hit me again. Why the virulent, ballistic anger? I had been heavily involved in the Kerry campaign and was all too familiar with the Deaniacs fierce attacks - which have only recently become few and far between. I heard some of that in the Obama supporters against Hillary's. Then I heard the swift boat level of anger - from the HIllary supporters against, moi, for one.
Well, I have a pretty logical mind, I was raised by a scientist who ridiculed emotional or irrational assertions. Obama did not get me emotionally. I like his speeches but do not ususally find him as inspirational as Kerry. For whatever reason, his voice is not particularly helpful. I can't explain what - not grating or anything, just doesn't 'resonate' for me.
I just wonder why some people, including Obama supporters, have to go so overboard in attacking either the opposing candidate or their supporters. Do we have to abandon manners and civility to make our points? What does it do to our ultimate ability to fight the GE if we submerse ourselves in raging, destructive emotions going into it?
We are all going to have to spend time getting our stress hormones down to manageable levels before we can think clearly again. I think either candidate will win in Nov if we are unified. The question Clinton want us to consider is who could win by a bigger margin as opposed to who wins the delegate count. The rules she should be very familiar with, since she has been through this twice with Bill before becoming a candidate herself, is that the nominee is determined by the DNC rules. They don't get changed at this point in the campaign. Ultimately, Hillary exposes her left brain, analytical perspective: she wants to believe the future can be predictable.
The GE will be a cliff hanger, whoever wins the nomination.

Most supporters of Obama or Clinton Didn't START out this way - angry -- Hillary's refusal to face reality and her supporting McCain over Obama is what caused this mess.
