Hillary Clinton to Bill O'Reilly: "Rich people- God bless *us*"
I try not to attack Hillary, because although I am not a Democrat, I
don't feel that Obama benefits from political infighting, and if by
some miracle Hillary did force the supers to award her the nomination
against the will of the voters, I would still like to keep McCain out
of office.
But with Pew reporting that Obama is losing ground
among blue collar whites, and Hillary shamelessly pandering to gun
owners and attacking Obama for being out of touch, I think this is fair
game.
Here is the clip from O'Reilly's show: "Rich people- God bless us."
If
this bothers you as a Democratic, Independent, or crossover-Republican
voter, please recommend this, or if someone else has posted on it
recommend that instead. This needs to get more publicity than it's
currently receiving.
Blue collar whites need to see her disingenous pandering for what it is.

You don't like to attack Clinton? OK, there's no context to this clip--it jumps into the middle of a sentence with no indication of the lead-up to her statement:
"...Rich people, God bless us. We deserve all the opportunities to make sure our country and our blessings continue to the next generation."
O'Reilly:
"Because I'm a saver and..."
And now the clip ends just as O'Reilly is about to indicate what they're talking about, which may well have been a pious rant about how wonderful each of them are for America (shudder).
Taking a Clinton quote out of context is bad form, bad manners, and bad practice. The kind of mud-slinging you encourage by blogging this selective clip is just as bad as anything the MSM, Clinton, or her surrogates have done.

I've actually seen the entire clip.
I will say that it is bad form to not give some context, but the truth is that even in context, I found her statement incredibly offensive.
Even more offensive, though, was Howard Wolfson telling the press that she said "blessed" which to me is obviously not true.

It doesn't matter which one she said. The Democratic Party doesn't need to be running against rich people and doesn't need to be running against corporations.
I posted earlier that we should frame Universal Health Care as good for business and good for workers too. God bless the rich, God bless the poor.
I would prefer Democrats not keep their reputation as class divisive and kneejerk anti-business and anti-rich. It didn't help us in 2000.

As bad as anything HRC has done.
LOL. I mean c'mon...
Anyway, whats the basis for your indignity, besides the maybe it was out of context? Would you post the full clip to show how innocent it was? I am skeptical it will matter. She came across as Elitist, and I think the full clip will show it too, because she is, IMO. But hey, if you say mrtal sin, prove it buddy, it looks fine, and not doctores, and a clip by its nature has to start and end, so, pony it up!

Context? Now you demand context for Hillary's comments, but context was sadly lacking for Obama's "bitter-gate" comments that were spun so effing far out of context they're still orbiting the moon.
"Context Nazi" says: No context for you! NEXT!

The point that you seem to be missing is that regardless of the context, Hillary has no problem calling herself rich when talking to O'Rly on Fox news while not knowing how to pump gas and endorsing the idiotic gas tax holiday, bragging about growing up shooting guns, and attacking Obama for being out of touch and elitist.
She is not just shameless, she is betting on the fact that no one will call her out for her bullshit.

It should also be mentioned that blessing rich people is the stance of her "sect," the Fellowship.

As if HRC has been pro-context for the last four months. LOL

An eye for an eye will leave you both blind.

Why is this necessary even if this was in it's full context? Any rational person knows that the Clintons are fabulously rich and well entrenched in the Aristocracy. Capitalism is their religion, the only god they pray to is the invisible hand of the market

SHOCKER! Hillary Clinton admits thats she's rich. Duh. She's rich AND willing and able to pay more taxes to give a break to the poor and middle class. We should hang her from a post for that right?
I voted for Obama, and I'm confident he will be the nominee, but most of all I cannot WAIT for this insane hatred of Hillary Clinton to be over. It has gotten beyond ridiculous. She is a hard working intelligent leader I like them both, its so disheartening to even open the pages of any liberal blog these days.
Its not allowing people to vote thats dividing the party its all this hatred. Lighten up... people will vote, the supers will decide on Obama and it will be over.
I want Hillary to be the VP pick for Obama, he's got the youth vote, the African American vote, and swing voters.... she's got the blue collar white working class, old folks and Catholics, and big states... together they will be unbeatable. It makes perfect sense. On policy there is about a 3% difference between them. They will kiss and make up, unite the party and all you HATERS will have to shut the F up.

For heaven's sake, I was critiquing the technique. Hillary & her cadre's have been twisting and turning anything Obama or his supporters say for months and she gets away with it. I'm saying it's foolish to leave the context out when it doesn't hurt you.
She gives us enough fodder if we present it honestly. So why even give the appearance of removing context if she's just as damned either way?

Add to the fact that her Baghdad Bob, Wolfson, lied and said she said, God "blessed" us.
