Gotalife signed off of TPM?
Just in case you missed it, everyone's favorite "Hillary Supporter" posted this morning on another thread that he was signing off:
Link
Yep, it is time to leave this echo chamber.
It was a hell of a fight but America did not want a fighter and the
Obama supporters proved they do not want unity with the Clinton
supporters with their hate.Obama starts out losing Florida, Michigan and half the Dems. I wish him and his supporters luck in getting them back.
Meanwhile, the problems keep piling up with no solutions and I fear for my country.
Anyhoo, they rolled the dice and hoped he can do something. So good luck with that.
Now, back to your regular echo chamber.
God bless America.
It's going to be strange here without his wild predictions and hatred for Obama; but I'm sure we'll find a way to carry on and begin the healing between the actual passionate & intelligent supporters on both sides.
I'll steal Mr. Gotalife's sign off: God Bless America!

He is delusional. He just wanted to rant against Obama and have the rest of us sit in silence. Our hate? It is called "mutual dislike."
Anyway, it is time to pivot to the general. It was a great fight Gotalife.

It wasn't a fight for reason or ideas, it was a shouting match. I don't mind differences, but I won't miss gotalife.
Peace

Sometimes his posts were so irrational that I thought he was writing really, really bad snark. I honestly thought he wasn't serious, until I went to one of his Web sites. That's when I got scared. Yikes!

Haven't seen Weaver either. I know some people were going to the heads about his racists posts. Maybe he got booted? (I hope so)

I love the Clinton supporters idea that Obama backers seemingly need to kiss their ass on blogs and message boards or they'll take their ball, bat and vote elsewhere.

Don't believe it, he'll be back. Perhaps under a different name and with a different avatar, but with the same stir 'em up just for the hell of it attitude.
Weaver showed up once this morning.
Same old shit. He loses points for not even attempting originality.

Gotalife, slumlord, Matthew Weaver, readytoblowagasket, RenStimpy, Marginal Player: these are six of the most important reasons we should heed the advice of this diary on dailykos and reach out to Hillary supporters in these final days of the campaign:
http://smash-artist.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/5/7/15359/49127/131/510397
What happens when nice, thoughtful Hillary supporters don't feel welcome on a site such as this or dailykos? They leave, and the only ones who stay are the yahoos who are caricatures of Hillary supporters. Too many of us Obama supporters have gotten the false impression that these trolls somehow represent mainstream Hillary fans. They don't-- rather, they are here to goad the rest of us into silly and mutually destructive tiffs. The best way to disabuse ourselves of this notion (other than bidding a fond fairwell to gotalife et al) is to invite our Hillary-loving friends back into the fold and to drop our own attacks or conspiracy theories (e.g. peter paul, "rape victim" story, mickey kantor, etc.). What I find appealing about Obama's campaign is that he (to paraphrase Jon Stewart) speaks to us as though we were adults. The least we can do is to reach out to Hillary supporters in that very same way.

Y'all quit piling on gotalife. He tried to help us, but we're just too stupid. My favorite gotalife post was "Hillar Clinton Will Be President." It really says it all.
*sniff*
And as to Weaver, he comes on as Mark Simmons. Same shithead cigarette avatar, same clunky syntax, same uber-predictable crap.
I saw someone threaten to seek him being banned last week for weird racist shit. His description of Obama's "half-Black arm" on a "White" supporter should be cross-linked into everything he does. But he'll soon be gone, he's a McCain over Obama guy.

I wondered if that was him.

It's funny how the "Obama is not a fighter" theme has become so popular among some of Clinton's supporters. Obama has just fought a titanic, historic, fifteen month battle against the vaunted Clinton machine, a reigning royal couple and an established, veteran political operation that to all intents and purposes were the Democratic party going into this election cycle. And it looks like he has won the fight. So how does it happen that the odds-on favorite, who is bested and loses, is declared the superior fighter to the guy who actually won the fight?

Exactly. Besides (and I hate to bring race into this, but it's true), you don't grow up black in America and do the work that Obama has been doing for twenty years without being tough. Maybe you don't throw the most punches, and maybe you don't hit below the belt, but you're standing at the end of the day, which is more than I can say for Hillary's campaign chances.
Actually, while we're on the whole fight metaphor, is anyone reminded of Ali-Foreman? The last few months have had a definite ring of rope-a-dope to me.

Man. I feel horrible...
this poor guy is probably checking-back to see how long this thread goes on, too.
that is really sad.
We don't hate you Goatlife--we hate Hillary for being the plastic faced pander-doll that thinks everybody owes her the nomination because her husband was the POTUS. The fact that you were unsuccessful in justifying her unjustifiable scorched-earth-rampage-across-America tour is not your fault. The fact that you don't realize that it's unjustifiable IS your fault. We don't hate you for being stupid, we just hate to listen to stupid people.
Bless you too

PEOPLE!!!
Do not confuse gotalife with goatlife. This mistake is being made in multiple threads, and it is not excellent. Goatlife is making important contributions to these forums on a daily basis. Gotalife? Well. Um.
So... Um... Those election results were crazy, no?!?!?!
