Don't ask Clinton to drop out of the race
Tonight was a good night for us, but I hope Obama supporters don't fall into the trap of asking Hillary Clinton to drop out of the race.
For one, I think that asking her to drop isn't productive. The Clintons wouldn't care about the party being hurt or about McCain's November chances improving because of the long democratic party battle. She will leave the race if and only if she is convinced that the superdelegates will NOT overturn the will of the people.
Asking her to leave the race will also be counter-productive. The Clintons thrive on playing the victim card. The Clinton campaign will complain about people who are trying to push her out of the race and how they are trying to disenfranchise West Virginia, Kentucky etc...Asking her to drop out will be a gift to the Clinton campaign and there is no reason to help them use the victim card again.

Absolutely. We're so close now to the last primary. After that, superdelegates will pull together for Obama quickly and Hillary will concede. There's no reason for people to pressure her at this point.

She is taking this to the convention, no matter what. Nothing she has done makes sense unless you consider that.

If she were to do that, she would lose -- and lose spectacularly. Better to let Obama have the nomination, and hope he either loses or makes enough missteps as president that she can challenge in four years.
If she takes the high road now, she can still hope the Democratic Party will forgive and forget how destructive her campaign has been.
My bet is she bites the bullet and concedes now. She can see it's a losing cause, and she won't want to toss in a few million dollars of her own cash.
