Defining a Graceful Exit for Hillary: Positivity or Neutrality?
I think Hillary should stay in until Kentucky and West Virginia are decided. I have seen many people on this site who agree with this. Also, many people agree that she should stay away from making negative comments about Barack. I think she should definitely shy away from negativity. The thing is this, when she steps away from negativity, where should she land? She could take a positive approach to Barack, which I think most of us and the party would appreciate, or she could take a neutral approach, which is certainly acceptable while not being the best solution.
I am of the opinion that she should takethe positive appraoch. She should go over the exit polls and other data, and while making a case for herself she should also slip in a few kinds things about Barack. For example, if he has shown any marked improvement with working class whites, she should say it. She doesn't have to pat him on the back, but she could also say something like "although Barack has made a little headway with blue collar whites, it is overwhelmingly in my favor." If Barack has not made significant strides with working class whites, she could find some other information upon which she could base a few positive statements.
Is she going to do this? Probably not. She clearly does not have to and may not need to. Neutral is fine and is probably what we will get (if not some slights and negativity), however, I think it would go a long way to helping heal the wounds that exist and would help rehab her image.

She should definitely take the positive approach, and I hope she will, but I'm not convinced she will.
That said, if she stays until May 20th, she might as well hang in there until June 3rd. Extending that, if she hangs in there until June 3rd, she might as well stay in until the convention as all of the primary campaigning will essentially be over by then. I just don't see her dropping out before the convention.

she is way past graciousness. just beat her.
no handwringing, no attacking her no appeals, it just makes her go farther. just show the country the delegates, pledged and super, and it now or in June.
Obama is right. do not talk to her. just beat her and leave her and her husband by the side of the road mumbling about white people coming to help her

How long does the DNC/democratic party indulge Sen. Clinton?
What line would she have to cross for the DNC to take justifiable action?

I think Hillary, and the media, ignores that part of Hillary's recent victories have been due Republicans voting for her in those open primary states so that she can win the nomination, and so they can defeat her in November. So her "wins" are not true indicators of her electability. Actually, Hillary knows this but keeps making those false arguments anyway,!

Hillary's exit strategy is best illustrated by this clip:

She's the one with the whip, just in case the analogy wasn't clear.
