Deep Thought

Will the Hillary supporters who have vowed to vote for McCain in November if Obama gets the nomination be able to stomach that if his VP choice is a woman?

whose choice?

Obama's. Hmm. If McCain chooses a woman and Obama doesn't, then that, too, could play out in some interesting ways. This could be fascinating, though I find it heartbreaking when people vote single-issue.

I'm also wondering what will bring Hillary supporters who are so burned by the primary process back to a Democratic vote, though part of me wonders how many of the Hillary voters in the primary were Republicans--I know we had a lot of crossovers in Texas, since McCain had the race wrapped up so long ago. There's a good chance that some of those folks who vowed to vote for McCain were really yucking it up because that was their goal anyway!

Or am I cynical?
