D.C. Madam Committed Suicide - Sounds Odd
DEVELOPING STORY: Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the 52-year-old woman known as the "D.C. Madam," is believed to have committed suicide at her mother's home in a trailer park in the Tampa area, Tarpon Springs Police told FOXNews.com.
Palfrey was found guilty on April 15 by a D.C. jury of racketeering and money laundering related to her operating a house of prostitution. Palfrey had threatened to reveal the names of her clients — many believed to be high-profile political and business figures — if prosecutors went forward with their case.
Kind of makes you wonder.....who wanted/needed her dead?

How convenient for the people on her list.
I sure hope she sent copies to a trusted friend or family member with instructions to deliver it to every major newspaper in the land.

Well, if she committed suicide, I guess she wanted her dead.
Very sad.

The state will not allow our honorable representatives to suffer any harm from this rabble-rousing, treasonous woman any longer, be at ease citizens!

I know that this sounds crazy, but maybe she committed suicide because she was depressed about, ya know, going to jail. And you'd think those who orchestrated her death might have done it before she released the names rather than after she was convicted.
PS I apologize for interfering in your conspiratorial fantasy life. I'm just naive. Carry on.

Yep. We have no idea the sort of harassment she got in her private life, from the folks who were mad she got caught with a list to the people who rail against anything sexual in America.

Who wanted/needed her dead? Are you kidding me?! Just about everyone in Washington, that's who! Wow, this is huge. Waaaay too suspicious. (Sorry Genghis, I like this particular conspiracy theory.)

What about Brandi Britton? Allegedly worked for Palfrey, arrested in 2006 - committed suicide last January before she was scheduled to go on trial...

This is the sort of speculation that does no one any good. A suicide is most often just a suicide. It should take some kind of evidence of foul play not just speculation to strat weaving murder conspiracies.

Oh, come on. Nobody would ever commit murder over something as trivial as political office, would they?

How easy it is to use our own skepticism against us. How easy it is scream "conspiracy theory" and immediately discredit those who reveal inconvenient truths. How easy it is to stoke our own bigotry, and render a good man unelectable. How easy it is to trigger our denial reflex to hide their heinous crimes. How easy it is to make us afraid and dependent. The powers-that-be don't have to work that hard at all. They just push all their own personal "easy buttons" and keep us in line. Get the cell phone out of your ear and put down your stupid roller brief cases long enough to pay attention to what's going on around you.
Don't fear the revolution. You are the revolution.

Of course it's suspicious. These people have become so arrogant. They don't even try to be subtle anymore. It actually looks like they're trying to send a message.
