Cybil Clinton Redux
Hillary fooled us again. She faked us all out, had us all going with this "playing out the string with honor" line. In truth, that was her latest politically expedient personality change. Yet again, she said what the audience of the moment (the democratic party at large, rather than specific states, as before) wanted to hear, and we all bought it, because we really, really wanted to hear it.
The specter of the Clintons imitating Sherman's march to the sea until the convention is so awful to us, we were enormously relieved when she signaled a change in tone. In that relief, she had us fooled, we let our guard down, we starting talking about mergers and reconciliations. about VP and Supreme Court appointments (really?).
But, as we saw in Florida yesterday, it was all a ruse. She is setting herself up to be perceived as Al Gore of 2000. She wants to play the part of the noble warrior who is betrayed by her party, and I am afraid she may get away with it.
I don't know what can be done to prevent this, but I'll offer a suggestion. The media usually loves to expose a hypocrite, so I'd like to see every story about Hillary "fighting for the votes of FL and MI" to include at least one of the statements made by her or her campaign about the sanctity of IA, NH and SC, you know - just for context. I bet some enterprising young reporter might even be able to connect the dots that she was only saying that at the time to pander to the voters of those states.
Somebody other than Olbermann has to call her out on this stuff. It's too obvious for no one else to see it, and it's too good a story not to run with. I know that bashing Hillary is out of style in the MSM since Tina Fey told them to stop, but it's not bashing when you are shining a light on the truth.

Hillary supporters just want Hillary to win, they don't care how or why. They just want Hillary.
Things like facts, or logic, or pleas to their conscience or sense of fairness are useless. They just want Hillary or noone.

Barack Obama cinched the majority of delegates a few days ago. Although this is not yet the "magic number", the Democratic Party has never failed to give the nomination to the candidate with the majority of delegates. And yet Obama did not declare victory. Instead he praised Hillary Clinton profusely because he knows how much he needs the votes of her supporters. But you, in your infinite wisdom, continue the bashing, saying she faked us all out, has multiple personalities, is comparable to General Sherman, and is guilty of deliberate deception, hypocrisy and pandering. Maybe you should write to Obama and tell him he's got it all wrong.

Cue scene, medical hospital, wounded men, amputation without morphine, weary negro miners singing a tired dirge, explosions in the background. Messenger delivers letter to General Forrester. "It's from General Clinton, sir, she says surrender at once or no prisoners taken. What do we do?" "It's a foul foul day when the heart of the South is wounded such. When she took Kennesaw Mountain by treachery, I knew it would come to this. We'll try to bivouac south of the city, but we only have a few men to hold her from here to the sea. And once she gets Savannah..." There was no need to go on. Gen. Forrester's men knew that look. Already there had been stories of atrocities, busted out storage tips, soldiers let loose on drunken looting binges, large swaths of land burnt beyond recognition, livestock let to run free through the city. And now it had come to this - stand and fight with the few supplies, or flee to perhaps live to another day, further down river, further towards their destruction. Scene fades to black with small flickers of fires in the distance.

I hope you realize that was the exact opposite of my point, at least to the degree that I had a point, and I'm not entirely sure I did.

(It also occurs to me, that this might have been your point. If so, I find it a wee bit subtle.)

Feelings of pending disaster are becoming stronger, her timing is incredible. There is just not enough time to deal with her tempestuous be havior.
It will continue to be "all Hillary all the time". I agree with Rachel Maddow, she will need a push, she ain't goin anywhere.By the time this is all settled the election will be just a few weeks away, with Mc Cain smiling all the way to the Whitehouse.
Please someone, anyone, stop her!

O indeed she is and has been ever since she started talking up the "Popular Vote" lie.
That is also why she won't quit -she can't claim it was stolen if she quits.
I really cannot believe she decided to sink this low - this is the lowest she could go. It's just like Rove and Bush waving 9-11 at us all the time to try to scare us. Now she's trying to use the Democrats' anxiety over 2000 to get her way.
Bitch - and no, I won't take it back - this is just the ultra-Rovian tactic. It's really disgusting.
