Criminal or Not?

Why isn't pasting of non-html working? If it doesn't work this time I give up.

Third time.

In congressional hearings a U.S. serviceman has defiantly stated he won't go to Iraq. He has called Iraq an illegal war.

There is an interesting legal aspect to this. As a member of the

Never works right for me either...

Are you pasting from a Word document, from a web-page, or from a non-WYSIWYG editor, such as Notepad? Personally, I very rarely cut & paste, so I haven't had the problems others have had, but my understanding is the only reliable way is to C&P from an editor such as Notepad. If you already have it in Word or on a web-page, C&P into Notepad, then C&P from there into here—that may work.

Thanks Ben. Hopefully it helps John K.

I did that recently and it got all the words in, but the formatting was blitzed. I had "" blockquote"" tags written in, and it didn't pick it up correctly from the C&P from Notepad.

Third time clearly wasn't the charm...

Keep trying to work this out. I really want to hear more about this. Thanks for the post effort.

John K - I don't know what's going on in the world of TPM's html but I do thank you for trying to post.

With news coverage and blogging all over the 2008 election the Iraq occupation and the men and women deployed has really slipped off my and I'm sure others radar.

I used to be a C-Span junkie regarding the congressional votes and hearings and now between other things I sit in front of this computer.

Thanks again for the shout out or wake up call to remind us of one of the top priorities of what this 2008 election is all about.

The easiest solution is to cut and paste the blog into the commentary section of this blog!

Thanks to everyone for their responses. In my frustration I am reluctant to post just because cutting and pasting from one program to another and then to here seems ridiculous. I am posting from a word document that is my private journal. This worked just fine in a previous incarnation of TPM. That appears to no longer be the case. The same technique does work elsewhere. This is an awesome site but needs work to live up to its potential. I work in the IT industry and do domain and network administration and SQL programming. Thus I find it peculiar to have this site go live with pages that don't properly support common editing techniques.
