The setting was Mississippi, unalloyed Bush country.  Rev. Wright was on the screen next to the Democratic candidate's image.  Barack Obama's name was invoked and his darkened, distorted image was blended in as values, guns, religion, the whole works, were invoked.  There it was, the huge nightmare everyone feared and spent months dreading.  The nightmare campaign which was to convince party insiders to overturn the will of the democratic primary voters was unleashed.

The Republican attack machine (the one over which Hillary's campaign keeps expressing concern) ran the ads it has been salivating to run against an Obama Democrat in the deep, deep South, and flopped worse than Ishtar.  It was not even close.

Kudos to those Mississipians for proving the Republicans, the talking hairdos, and many in the Democratic party to once again be extremely out of touch with reality.  Their mistake was to underestimate Americans, but it will not work, not this time.
