Collusion between VoteBoth and the Clinton campaign

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Old habits die hard, a long-time Hillary Clinton supporter proved this week when he sent out a press release from his new organization with press@hillaryclinton.com as the contact address.

Sam Arora, a Clinton aide for three years, made the goof Tuesday in a press release for VoteBoth, which is pressing for a ticket that would bring the two Democratic rivals together.

The release said "press@voteboth.com," but linked to the Clinton campaign's generic media e-mail address.

Arora said it was a simple mistake caused by his using an old Microsoft document to make the new one.

"I didn't realize that, when you do this in Microsoft Word, you have to look at what the html says," he said. "This was just me being technically unadvanced."

Collusion between VoteBoth and the Clinton campaign would be illegal, since VoteBoth filed with the Federal Election Commission as independent of any candidate or its committees.

Founded a month ago to promote a ticket with Clinton on top and Sen. Barack Obama as vice-president, VoteBoth was retooled last week to say either candidate could lead the ticket.

Its founder, Adam Parkhomenko, is a die-hard Clintonite who was 17 years old when he launched an online drive in 2003 to draft her to run for president in 2004. He went on to become the right-hand man of Patti Solis Doyle, the Clinton campaign director who was ousted in March after a string of Clinton defeats. Parkhomenko left the campaign soon after Doyle did.

The launch of VoteBoth — originally called Clinton/Obama '08 — prompted muttering in the blogosphere about ongoing links between Parkhomenko and the Clinton campaign.

Clearly the DLC is also working on this, if Harold Ford, Jr. on MSNBC last night is any indication.

Yeah, I saw Harold Ford Jr. out there trying to make a case for a joint ticket. The DLC at this point is just fighting to stay relevant in the face getting beat by the "Democratic wing of the Democratic" party!

Hillary is doing everything she can
to stay in the running. Barack would
be crazy to let her on his ticket, especially after all she has done to derail his campaign.
Fool me once...
If she gets the VP, it won't be long
before something happens to our new
black president.

This is her Plab B of course. Obama, DON'T, please don't take in this Trojan Horse for the Establishment. You've seen what she is capable of during the entire election cycle. She'll just hijack the agenda anywhere she can get near the WH!

She'll NEVER play straight with you, please don't let your supporters down!

He does not want her negatives! And to be fair I think politically she would be better served being a Senator versus being a VP even with the expansion of the Vp office by Senor Cheney. The problem is neither really sees the other as a political plus and the elction has just highlighted these issues.

I think after her racist statements today, she'll never win re-election to her senate seat. As the NY Post said, "TOAST"! Unbelievable. And of course, it's not even on the front page of CNN's website.

How the HELL hasnt anyone come out and just this is flat out bullshit?

Has no one here ever made a website or is a little technically advanced to know that this is IMPOSSIBLE to do on accident?

I mean...how do you not know that press@hillaryclinton.com will send a email to that exact email address?

You have spell it out...what, he cant read?

This is the B.S. that actually REALLY pisses me off, and people just accept it.
I know its just a small thing, but you have to start some place. This is the shit I'd fire someone for.

"Technically Unadvanced"?? Where did he get his degree from and in what capacity does he work for Hillary under that he doesnt understand what putting .com at the end of a word in Microsoft Word, actually does?

So gotdamn stupid.

And obviously he did alter the HTML because it says

The release said "press@voteboth.com," but linked to the Clinton campaign's generic media e-mail address.

So if you type that in Microsoft, that will pull up a email box(on Outlook, or Express) with "Press@voteboth.com" in the TO box.

In order to get around that you would of had to edit the HTML inorder for it to go to HRC's site.

His excuse is a lie.
