Clinton Can't Save Obama
An Obama/Clinton "dream" ticket would only pull her down when he loses. My own turn from him came after being strongarmed by his paid operatives on the web. Being verbally abused thrown out of blogs by Obama thugs, because I supported hillary Clinton means that he will never get my vote.
My feelings aside, Democrats who voted for Clinton will not necessarily vote for Barack Rezko Wright cheated caucuses Hussein Obama. I know from telephoning for Kerry in '04 that women are especially picky about the first lady. And those women are definitely not going to go for a character as threatening as Michelle. The truth is, Obama has had so little experience that his negatives hugely overpower the positives. As Clinton's vice president, he would build nation creds. The country would have 8 years of seeing him in good light. The Chicago demons would melt away. The only hope for this party, and this country is a Clinton/Obama ticket.

Also, his own words of disdain for working
people will be used heavily against him.

Your resentment inverses the truth that it's Obama who can't save Clinton. What has also happened, but is not as hot a topic in the media, is how much Clinton is damaging herself (and the Clinton brand) with Generation X and younger Democrats (all of us without the old identity vices) - the future of the party.

If Obama is so evil, why would you want to see him on the ticket at all?
By the way, if you approach discussion with phrases like, "Barack Rezko Wright cheated caucuses Hussein Obama," it becomes fairly inevitable that verbal abuse will ensue.

I don't want him on the ticket.
The only reason ANYONE wants this guy anywhere is because he has consolidated the AAs who will kill any ticket that he is not on.

Um, I'm white and genuinely like the guy. Your turn. Call me an idiot.

And how do we join the list?
(Pure snark, but specialist, honestly - you need to make posts a little heavier on analysis and a lot lighter on invenctives. You're light on citations and facts and extremely thick with bile. Work that out and people won't try to run you off.)

I'm just wondering if I'm one of the "paid operatives" who has "strongarmed" him…

Specialist -
You have a right to vote anyway way you wish or not vote at all if you so choose.
However, should McCain win because you and other Dems who think as you do voted for him or voted down ticket and and not the top. I believe you and your like minded thinkers do lose one right. The right to whine about the course of our country over the next four years. You will have had a hand in setting that course.

You mean I can't put one of those "Don't Blame Me I Voted For Hillary" stickers on my car? Darn!

Sure you can, but doesn't that bumper sticker only work if Obama wins and totally screws up? If I am wrong I will slink off to the corner pen and paper in hand to write I am an idiot 1,000 times.

You do realize that an Obama loss in the fall with or without Hillary means that she really can't run again because fairly or not Democrats would blame her for his loss, right? People hate it when the self-righteous get up and say, "I told you so."

Um, I hate to break it to you, but words the web can't "strongarm" you into anything.

I agree. She shouldn't be on the ticket.

While I've never been run out of anything by trolls, I have been pretty disgusted by the behavior of some Obama supporters - particularly when that behavior seems diametrically opposed to the values/qualities that allegedly draw them to Obama.
But even if every single Obama supporter was a flaming arsehole, I cannot imagine voting for McCain instead of BO, or even not voting.
I"m not looking for people to sing kumbaya with, I'm looking for a President. I mean really, someone was mean to you on a blog or a message board, so you'll stand by while the country elects a man with a hair-trigger temper and who'll likely bugger the Supreme Court for generations to come?

I don't think anyone will fail to vote for or support Obama because of anything his supporters say, unless they perceive it as reflecting the attitude of the Obama campaign. Axelrod and Obama have set the tone of the campaign, and, in so far as Obama's supporters are perceived as spouting the party line, Obama will be held accountable. There are two Clinton constituencies most at risk. Lower income, less educated voters and older voters. We have an Obama "supporter" of some kind in this thread who is a good example. What could be more of a turnoff for a boomer than to read that kind of arrogant assertion from a joneser or gen X? And where did he get the attitude? From the Obama campaign. There is an adage in the business world and in politics that Obama supporters should think about. "Let your boss pick his own fights." Obama has rallied gen X to him, but at this point his campaign is trying to mend some fences. The arrogance of some of his supporters is going to make that harder for him to do than it has to be.

All I see in Obama is bad company, and actions that are against my personal ethics.

Can you say drama? I wonder what you get out of blatantly lying in these hysteridal posts of yours? It's like the lamest cry for help I've ever seen.

Sometimes I wonder if specialist is actually making fun of other Clinton supporters. The thing is, on this site at least, we don't really have many Clinton supporters like the kind that he appears to be parodying.

Looks like Obama doesn't need "saved". I love the polls showing him up over McCain in Pennsylvania by 8 and up in Ohio over McCain by 9 and up in VA over McCain by 7. Oh yes please save us from our leads outside the margin of error in those swing states. Eegads.
Hard pill to swallow, isn't it?
Strong leads NY, CA, PA, Il, MI, VA, VT, ME, CT, MA, DE, RI, DC, IA, WI, MN, NM, CO, HI, CA, OR, WA, MD.
And make McCain spend his war chest in NC, SC, GA, MS, TX, SD, ND, AK, AZ, Fl
Welcome to President Obama '08.
Doesn't look like Barack needs saved at all. :)
The Democratic coalition is coming together beautifully.

Usually a good idea to link to the polls, or at least say by whom and when. They had some on the front page that told a different story. Be that as it may, good luck with your strategy. McCain is tied to the most impeachable administration in history. If Obama can't beat him, the Dem Party should die of shame.
