Not even the White house trumps ratings, and if Obama can make more people tune in, his responses will be heard. To this point you can look at everyone the democrats have gotten really involved. That's a lot of ratings potential.

Really this would be the biggest faltering that Gore (until after the election) and Kerry had. They were bad TV and Bush was good TV.

Not too mention Bush had a lot of fear on his side in 2004. 9-11 was still too fresh and it made people truly afraid it would happen again. This time the economy trumps the terrorists. It's not that the American people have forgotten, it's that they are tired of being weak and afraid.

In 2005, Obama passed an amendment, which became law, to the FY 2006 Department of Interior Appropriations Act prohibiting the use of funds in the bill to delay or contravene implementation of an existing but unmet statutory requirement passed by Congress in 1992 that the EPA rewrite regulations on dispersal of lead paint by home remodeling contractors by October 1996. The ruling was based on an interpretation of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (BAPCPA).
