Bad mouthing Hillary

avatar

I have a question for the Obama supporters who bad- mouth Hillary Clinton consistently. Do you believe Obama can become President without the votes of folks who support Hillary? This notion that we'll all make nice at the end of the day and vote for Obama is a risky assumption. I for one will not vote in November if Hillary is not on the ticket. And before somebody goes off and call me racist you should know that I'm a Black woman.

Get over yourself.

Since you don't plan to vote for Obama even if he wins the nomination, why are you asking for favors from Obama supporters who endure, along with Sen. Obama, the most despicable of insults from your compatriots and candidate? We're delusional, remember?

The other choice is McCain. I have to ask myself, can we afford four years of McCain? We can't afford one more day of the fool in office today.

You mean old white women? Yes, I do think that Obama can win without them.

I for one will not vote in November if Hillary is not on the ticket.

And if Hillary is not, and Obama loses to McCain, I hope you can find a way to rationalize your despicable behavior to any of relatives that end up in the Middle East over the coming decades.

And before somebody goes off and call me racist you should know that I'm a Black woman.

That makes it all okay then.

I feel sorry for you. I really, really do.

You want to blackmail Obama supporters into silence (while Hillary suppoters are allowed to rant unfettered?) with your potential unwillingness to vote for our candidate unless yours is on the ticket? Stay home in November. Bitterly cling to your hopes, dreams, and your keyboard. BTW, I hope you enjoy losing plenty of rights women fought hard for.

I am a black man and I approve this message.

Additionally, I would actually respect you if you came in here to negotiate a complete ceasefire. Just trying to silence us with your threat isn't particularly helpful.

Silver linings, Yvonne clearly knows which one is going to come out on top. Maybe cut her a little slack for that.

I guess I could do that :)

Is that supposed to be some sort of olive branch?!You may have a man who will kiss your ass while you crap, but don't look for that here.

Yes I think that Obama can be elected with the few Clinton supporters who will refuse to vote for him. And I do think by the time November rolls around there will be very, very few of you; and, I suggest, perhaps not even you.

Look, once again, I remind you that there is very much more at stake in the coming general election than if it is Clinton or Obama.

The over riding issue is the Supreme Court. Do you want more Atilla Scalisa, Thomas', and Aliotos or do you want Ginsburgs, Souters, and Breyers.

Do we want a court which will continue to sanction the creeping fascism that has stood up and begun running under Bush?

Do you want a court which will usurp explicit state authority, under Article II, Section 1, to "appoint....electors" to the electoral college, so as to appoint the president more amenable to its majority ideology.

With all due respect, this notion of not voting for the eventual democratic nominee is silly; and I trust that come November you will have reconsidered.

"Do you believe Obama can become President without the votes of folks who support Hillary?"

ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY!

And btw: KMBBA!

Yvonne is raising an important question. Those of you who don't think Hillary should still be campaigning need to remember that Obama was unable to seal the deal in PA, and moreover, he was unable to win a single big state--including the key swing states.

It comes across very arrogant of you to dismiss (rudely I might add) Yvonne's question outright. It is highly reminiscent of how people sounded before 2004.

All of you may like Obama's talk, but to many of us, Hillary's consistent focus on economic policies that matter in peoples' lives is highly compelling.

No, it is rude for her to come in here and try to blackmail Obama supporters. If she wants to promote party pease, she could have suggested that both sides lay down arms and meet in the middle. Extending an olive branch to the opposition is better than trying to beat them with it in the name of peace.

Swing states? Iowa. Missouri. Wisconsin. Colorado. And possibly even Virginia.

Big states? Illinois. Georgia. Virginia.

Or, we could go by square footage! In which case, he won the biggest state in the union!

I haven't one time called for her to drop out. I didn't think she should, I just think they should both spend their time attacking McCain rather than each other. And I've defended her when it was right. But what is there really to say to someone who says they will not vote if their choice doesn't win? I'll say the same thing I've said to Obama supporters who said they won't vote if he loses:
Remember the bigger picture here, please.

This is a spirited contest. The shit is flying both ways. People are going to feel slighted on both sides. But as the case in contests, there will be one victor and one loser. So there is going to be a group of people on one side or the other who has to get over it. Or, they can not get over it, and we can get stuck with Bush 2.0.

No, Yvonne is not asking an important question. Whether "Obama can become President without the votes of folks who support Hillary" is already a moot question as it concerns Yvonne, since she plans to withhold her vote anyway.

But I did notice your sly fusing of multiple slams on Obama in a single disingenuous post. Personally, I'm more motivated when Obama explains his plans to change America than I am when Clinton confuses taking sniper fire with assassinating Obama's character.
