Angry Hillary supporter kicked out of DNC Meetig VIDEO

Sad Sad Hillary Supporter have a angry racist  rant after disturbing the meeting and  being asked to leave.
VIDEO

I really think it is important  for the Clinton campaign to step up and denounce these things and tactics ASAP. These angry democrats are loosing focus. EVER candidate who come up short short is hurt and disappointed. But this is pathetic !!
John Edward at one of the debates told his supporters and the American people that he did not wan the votes of racists or sexists who would vote for him solely because he is
a white man. We never saw that grace from the Clinton camp.

Really, where is the demand to denounce and reject now? Up to now, a lot of Democratic voters have admired her "toughness" enough to think she's a cinch to win in November. But at some point most of her supporters have got to see that her implicit approval of her supporters' overtly offensive remarks is pretty much against what the Democratic Party has been about this past 40 years at least.

This is likely the thing that's turned the party against her. The more she attacks Democratic values, the less the vast majority of Democrats are going to stand with her. Pretty soon all she'll have is Fox News to keep her dreams alive.

Fox News will happily oblige of course, since anything to sow discord in the Democratic party is good for their Republican friends...

Hillary supporters, please go here:

The racism in all this is soooo ugly.

The Clinton were always happy to pal around with minorities and treat them like 'junior partners'. They were very patronizing, and would visit communities and mouth some pandering words. the proverbial pat on the head.

But when a minority candidate has the nerve to challenge and beat the Clintons, they can't believe it. All the vile starts spilling. "How dare he!"

They would never have acted like this against someone who they really respected. That's how I would sum up the whole Clinton campaign: Deeply deeply disrespectful.

I get a very strong "How dare that black man not give up his seat in the front of the bus for the nice white lady!" vibe from it all, that's for sure.

Check out this piece detailing some of the case of characters supporting Hillary today -
http://blogs.tnr.com/tnr/blogs/the_stump/archive/2008/05/31/scenes-from-today-s-rbc-hillary-protest.aspx

They even brought out Larry Sinclair and treated him as a celebrity of sorts...

After watching Harriet Christian from Manhatten in that video I feel a very strong need to hold and pet a kitten. Most mind-boggling is that Hillary and Bill continue to assert they have nothing to do with the divisiveness that increasingly defines them. Anybody else think Harriet may just be a wee bit of a racist? I guess it is a good thing that this campaign is proving to be an unmasking of a number of the closeted biggots. You can obviously support Clinton for non-racist reasons, just as you can support Obama for non-sexist reasons. But when the very idea of the person getting the most delegates becomming the nominee causes one to blow a gasket which they then put in racial terms, well, it doesn't take a lot to figure out that they have a wee bit of a problem with African-Americans.
It all brings me head back to one of my favorite federal circuit court opinions I used to like to quote in briefs I was writing in discrimination cases. In that opinion, the judge, explained that few victims of discrimination could produce outright proclamations of racism in this day and age because, as he put it, "Racists, like the serpent in Eden, are more subtle." And while Manhatten Harriet isn't exactly subtle in the video I do think she shows her racist colors rather clearly, don't you??

I really do need to find a kitten to pet and get some sleep. Sorry for all the typos.

I wonder if Harriet shuts up when she gets a root canal (and I would guess she has had a few). No surprise few capable business people ever seek political office.

Wow, racist and angry.

What stuns me still is that these so called democrats would rather see a republican in office over a candidate from their own party.
There is far too much at stake to be so petty and spiteful. Go ahead and throw the baby out with the bath water just because your candidate is not the nominee. If you are going to do that don't call yourself a democrat, go an register as an independant. The Democratic Party doesn't need your support if you are going to vote republican.
To all of those people who will vote McSame because Billary is not the nominee, think long and hard about what you are doing. You and every American will have to live with the consequences of your actions, just because you are having a tantrum. How many more troops will have to die because you voted against your own party? How many more contractors will profit from the deaths of our troops? How many millions more Americans will be spied on because you didn't get your own way? How many more Americans will be bleeding tax dollars into the hands of contracors just because of Billary didn't win the nomination? How much of the planet do you really want to see destroyed through unchallenged climate change because you are being spiteful?
Think long and hard before you do vote McSame, then think long and hard again. This election is not abut you, it's about saving what is left of this country. This is not abut you or Hillary, it's about doing what is best for this country.

I am a CNN junkie (not always proud to admit that), however in March I distinctly remember a Hillary Clinton sound bite, where she instructed Florida and Michigan voters to vote Republican if the DNC did not count their votes. I am sure if asked about the divisive directions to her supporters she would claim she misspoke - again. Regardless, we need to refocus and fire the Republicans who continue to lie to us and murder our children - who are all military heroes. I cannot fathom voting for a man who claims to not be an economic genius, but staying at war for another 100 years is good for us. It doesn't take a genius to know that Americans are suffering financially and have been for 8 years. Apathy, despair and suicide rates are already up in America. Don't get me wrong I do not believe a democrat in office will change us back to a warm and fuzzy nation without racism or sexism. I do believe we have to work at it together. Voting for the candidate who atleast believes in hope and change is a good place to start. P.S. I started this campaign cycle as a Clinton supporter.

The Republicans will be happy to have your vote:

Just go to Hillary's web site if you want to see more of the same. The comments about the decisions today are so far over the top it is laughable. Each and every one a repeat of the other. And they want to pretend that Obama supporters are cultlike. Those folks are fanatics. It will be better to win the election without them. Then they, and the Clinton's will be owed nothing.

Damn! Was that Blanche, Rose, Dorothy or Sophia? She looked like one of those women from that sit-com "The Golden Girls" except she was really really really really really really really mad.

I bet Hillary is very proud of THAT constituency that she built so effectively.

Yes - 'Grey Gardens', anyone?

avatar

I was struck by her statement, "God damn the Democrats," for its similarity in tone and cadence to the Rev. Wright sound bite "God damn America" that was played ad naseum in the media.

"God Damn the Democrats" sure sounds like Clinton's strategy. Interesting association.

Yup, Harriet's channeling Geraldine for sure.

Hillary created this. She's been playing up her victimhood. She never told Ferraro to knock off the racist talk. So, it's not at all surprising to see her supporters acting like this.

Sad.

I sometimes wonder if Clinton knows what she's doing. Did she really intend for people to get riled up to that extent. It seems she has tapped an animus in the population that might prove difficult to keep on a leash. Isn't she worried of hurting her own long term political career.

She can't zero in on a constituency and tailor a message or play to the antagonisms of any one segment of society without it being broadcast nationwide via the internets and cable news channels. Maybe the strategy of divisive politics really is too divisive when media saturation makes the campaign one long national campaign. It seems Obama has a better sense of this dynamic. Clinton is just not-knowin'.

I haven't seen any evidence that Hillary thinks anything beyond short-term gain. She will play just about any card if she thinks it will give her short-term benefit, and she just assumes that she can fix (or ignore) any long-term damage.

John Edwards apparently didn't want the vote of anyone - that's why he got so few of them.

Ha, ha, ha...
Que sera, sera!

Oh, except in Iowa, the first primary, where he finished AHEAD of HRC? I think the real problem is ICkes. The MoFo would let go. He is afraid of being blamed. He wont accept defeat.

Fat lady singing?

I think that was East/West.

That video goes nicely with Hillary's Downfall.

You know, when LisB posted this a month or two ago I ragged on her that it was completely unfunny to compare Hillary to Hitler. Hitler is Hitler, and saying an cheating, lying politician is Hitler twists the reality of the beyond-horrible things he did.

But, you know, now that I've gotten a little more secure and calm about this whole process, and Clinton is showing some stripes that I'm completely shocked that she apparently always bore, it's kind of amusing, in an ugly sort of way.

ARGH!

WENCH HARRIET GIVES MUCH STRAIGHT TALK
SHE'S FOR HILLARY THROUGH AND THROUGH
SCREW OBAMA! VOTE FOR MCCAIN!
SEE? IT'S THE CHRISTIAN THING TO DO!

WENCHES ALL KNOW THAT ONLY WENCH HILLARY CAN BRING BACK THE CORPORATE RAIDING 90S!

ACQUIRE! MERGE! MARAUD! DILUTE! DILUTE!

ARGH!

This woman characterizes the nature of the Clinton campaign - ugly, bigot, racist, deluded. Mrs. Clinton has been the weather vane of contemporary politics, turning into whichever direction the wind blows. WHY did have Ms. Power have to resign early on for telling the truth:"She is a monster. She will stoop to anything to get elected." Mrs. Clinton has proven time and again that Ms. Power was correct. It is time to expel Mrs. Clinton and her husband from the Democratic party for abusing the Democratic nomination process for their own political circus. These two do not reflect Democratic values.

Come on, guys... that woman's not a racist.

She's just ticked off.

And it is a little frustrating for people on either side to have to deal with the party making its own decisions on issues like this.

Put yourself in her shoes. She's a passionate Clinton supporter, a party member, a party voter and likely a party donor who wants some say in a major party issue and as she says, the party didn't even want to tell her where the committee was meeting, nor does the party give her an audience once she gets there.

In the end, I'll bet she was more angry at being turned away than anything else and that's understandable.

We see her anger, but underneath it lies deep pain. Her shouts are wails, her dreams are shattered, and she harbors doubts that they will ever come true in her lifetime. I, for one, hurt with her.

Dreams of what! I can't think of any aspect of the Clinton campaign that would inspire a dream, a nightmare maybe.

This is a good example of what happens when you think in fear and rage instead of with reason. Rage blocks rationality. I too think this woman is at least not as bad as she sounds. However, whether or not you think Hillary is racist, and I don't, she's implicitly condoned this kind of sentiment in her supporters. I'm shocked, personally. As I have been increasingly shocked and appalled for the past several months.

She's now handing out salt for her supporters' to rub into their wounds and telling them it's going to heal them.

I do think she's going to split off a chunk of self-identified Democrats. However, I think those Democrats haven't been anywhere near even the conservative screwed-up institution the DNC has been this past 20 or so years. And I think the loss of these Reagan Democrats will be more than offset by the gain of centrist Republicans fleeing their old party.

Because I'm feeling optimistic today. It's going to be ugly for at least the next couple of weeks, but pretty soon McShrub's going to start generating some outrageously bad press.

Thanks Eliyah and AA.

I'm sensing, or at least hoping, that the kind of anger she's feeling will be unsustainable for a large number of people.

There's no doubt we've lost this particular woman's vote. She feels like the party slighted her personally and she'll punish us by voting for McCain. Of course, since she'll vote from New York, it won't actually matter. Hers will be lost in a sea of Obama votes. New York's staying blue.

People like her who might be voting from Florida are more of a problem. Florida's going to be close. We're going to have to spend the summer making some new friends down there.

Listen to the woman in the background yelling over Everett Ward about Iowa and New Hampshire. It sure sounds like Harriet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-v1kgYMEIE

Harriet, IRON MY SHIRT!!!

change your avatar, will ya'

I just find Harriet's argument to be irrational.

How on earth does she believe voting for McCain is going to accomplish any of the objectives she (presumably) supports.

If you support Hillary b/c of her policy initiatives and world view (and not simply b/c she is a woman), how can you possibly turn your back on your principles and vote for John McSame?

I just don't get it!

Plus, what was she so pissed off about? That Michigan's delegates were split 69/59 instead of 73/55? You've got to be kidding me!

She's mad because her favorite candidate told her to be mad. She's drunk the Kool-Aid, and now she can't stop. Clinton instructed Floridians to vote for the Republicans if the DNC didn't give her what she wanted.

However, you gotta wonder: where were the tens of thousands of Clinton supporters she promised to bus to DC for the RBC meeting?

This is her core base? Something to be really proud of, eh?

The bottom line is Hillary fed this ugliness with her speeches...over the last few months and then weeks the words have been ratcheting up. She's spinning these supporters of hers into raving loons. She knows exactly what she's doing - it's criminal - these are vunerable people and she's exploiting their pain and past injustices (whether percieved or not).

There is a reckless disregard for how this will affect the party, it really is a slash and burn tactic. Shame on her for using these women in this way, she can't go back to them in a couple of weeks and convince them to vote for Obama...nor do I think she ever had any intention of doing so. Disgraceful.

I feel like such a fool because I EVER defended her and Bill...

To the poster who asked which of the GOLDEN GIRLS this nutjob most closely represents:

NONE of them:

DOROTHY would invite Obama to the school she was teaching at and ask for a lecture of politics and history.

ROSE would bake Obama a Vanskapf-Caca Friendship Cake (made with flour, eggs, honey, and 'just a drop of sunshine').

BLANCHE would sleep with himi.

SOPHIA would sit with him at the boardwalk and discuss life in general and comment on the people coming and going from the water.

(Yes, I am a huge GG fan.)

Plus - at least 2 of the girls had previously slept with black men. :)

avatar

Oh, you poor dear! You sound so offended. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Please close your eyes for the rest of the campaign, because it's going to be so sad, so raw, so ugly, so beneath you.

Come here, Otto. Gimme a hug. I'm supposed to go around hugging Clinton supporters. It's the new thing. So, come here and give me a hug, you poor dear.

Hey. By the way. Do you own any hats, Otto?

Time to STOP demonizing Clinton supporters. One angry nut case does not reflect upon many of her dedicated and more rational supporters. Obama supporters wouldn't want to be demonized by such a selfish nut as Rev Wright or the other looney at that church. Speaking as an Obama supporter myself. Let's do what our candidate asks of us. Calm down.

avatar

"Obama supporters wouldn't want to be demonized by such a selfish nut as Rev Wright or the other looney at that church."

One quick question......

Where were Hillary and her supporters when the media, the GOP, and HILLARY AND BILL THEMSELVES were doing precisely this?

Just curious.

I'm not suggesting that the Clintons have acted honorably. I've never liked either of them since they came on the scene. I like them far less now. I give to Obama every week and save half the permitted amount for the general. I'm suggesting that we do what Obama has asked of us. Stop alienating Clinton supporters. They are needed for Obama to win in a general election. I'm just repeating what Obama says. It's politically stupid to alienate them.

avatar

Mrs. No Pic:

But since they have made it perfectly clear that ANY result that does not go their way is going to 'alienate them', just what - exactly - are those who do NOT see eye-to-eye with them supposed to react when they act like screaming infants?

If Obama has to publically apologize for the actions of his more lunatic supporters, why does Hillary have to do the same?

Just curious.

BTW - I admire voices that call for calm and reason! Don't think I;m opposing you, because I;m not. :)

This is one way of looking at it that might help... http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/06/the-understandable-anger-at-th.php

This is all about understanding and creating unity.

avatar

Appreciate you all letting all of us Clinton supporters once again that you think we are all racists.

avatar

forgot the "letting us KNOW"

If Hillary were a true great leader, she would bow out gracefully, with a forceful statement of support for Obama and against racism.

The anger of Harriet Christian and others like her has been stoked by Hillary Clinton for the sake of personal gain. It is one of the oldest and most evil political strategies around the world: stoke racism, or xenophobia, for the purpose of winning elections. It is profoundly disappointing to have watched Hillary descend to this level. She has devalued her legacy forever.

avatar

Thats complete bullshit and you know it. Stop the complete lying if you can.

Let this old hag vote for McCain the guy who called his wife a cunt.....
