You can't say Americans are angry? Whose dictator dream is this?
Any candidate that claims we're all just happy campers that whistle while we work needs to stay as far away from the White House as possible.

Listen to them! "Don't rouse up the people! Apologize now for questioning the status-quo! How dare you!"
I can't wait for Clinton to go all "Shame on you!" again over this:
Clinton spokesman Phil Singer has since responded to Obama's words on his remarks.
“Instead of apologizing for offending small town America, Sen. Obama chose to repeat and embrace the comments he made earlier this week," Singer wrote in a statement. "It’s unfortunate that Sen. Obama didn’t say he was sorry for what he said. Americans are tired of a President who looks down on them — they want a President who will stand up for them for a change. The Americans who live in small towns are optimistic, hardworking and resilient. They deserve a president who will respect them.”
As has McCain's spokesman, Tucker Bounds.
"Instead of apologizing to small town Americans for dismissing their values, Barack Obama arrogantly tried to spin his way out of his outrageous San Francisco remarks. Only an elitist who attributes religious faith and gun ownership to bitterness would think that tax cuts for the rich include families who make $75,000 per year. Only an elitist would say that people vote their values only out of frustration. Barack Obama thinks he knows your hopes and fears better than you do. You can't be more out of touch than that."

So Clinton and McCain's spokespeople are reading off the exact same Karl Rove talking points-paint Obama as an elitist. Hah. I guess when you cross the CiC threshold you get the same briefings.
I wonder how this is going to work for McCain. In 1983, this Senator, this son and grandson of Admirals, married to woman worth $10's of millions voted against making MLK Day a national holiday. Why? Just the other day he explained: I wasn't familiar with the issue.

You're just bitter. Bitter people are not regular people and therefore do not count.

In the immortal words of Admiral Ackbar:
"It's a Trap!"

Someone should tell Hill that when you travel a lot, all that sitting still in the plane and all that unusual food can make a person irregular and give that bloated feeling. Sometimes if this goes on long enough one can become crabby and a little out of touch. Eat Activa every day. If you don't feel relief after two weeks, we'll refund your money.

Agreed. "Barack, don't you know that the meak --- and uninsured, underemployed, and the Credit Card fleeced Americans --- will inherit the Earth?"
Anyway, here's Cafferty's response at MINUTE 6:20. He's mad as hell, and he tells it like it is...

"the jerks in Washington DC as represented by the tenures of the Bushes and the Clintons and the McCains who have lied to the people all these years.... They are to blame for their jobs moving overseas."

Sounds like Barack needs to make a major speech on class the same way he did on race. This isn't Wright, and Pennsylvania, where the race is shifting every day, will be listening. If he can pull that off...

I find that calling Obama "elitist" is rather racist, as if he didn't share the same humble material beginnings as the millions of people whose anger he is giving voice to.
If he had white small-town roots and he made these statements, this wouldn't even be a blip on the rader. Wait a minute....
