WTF is Up with NORAH GADDAM O'EFFING DONNELL?

avatar

3:50 p.m ET.: Who the hell is she to disrespect the Rev. Soares who came on MSNBC to discuss Rev. Wright's speech and Q&A today?

Excuse me but, I am effing livid!

Her "Oh come on!!!" was effing disingenuous at best, and goddamn rude. MSNBC is now FOX.

MSNBC is not now Fox.

Yes, it is...

Last night both CNN and FOX carried Wright's NAACP speech live. MSNBC did not. They re-ran old Dateline stories.

Today, Fox has covered all kinds of news -- not that I agree with their coverage, but they did not obsess as MSNBC has. TODAY.

One would expect the right-wing Fox to be providing the wall-to-wall 24-hour berating of Wright, not MSNBC.

I say MSNBC is the new FOX News.

O'Donnell is a horror show.

Her model and mentor as a "journalist" was Tweety.

What more do you need to know?

She was referring to opposition to the Iraq War as an "extremist" position when approval numbers were in the low '40s. Dumba a mud fence and half as useful.

She's been doing stuff like that since she started at MSNBC. You're just now noticing. This is a person who parrots GOP talking points as facts and when she'd have a Democrat on she'd basically call them liars because what they had to say didn't agree with the GOP talking points. Even when presented with facts, she blinks her robot eyes and repeats the GOP talking point. There's a reason she's called Noron.

I don't get Norah O'Donnell being rude and stupid means MSNBC = FoxNews. (Indeed, I think the Obama campaign would strongly disagree with that assessment. . . )

Then again, I don't usually see the things that make people gasp and cringe at Greg Sargent, so I think I'm a little TPM-impaired.

Now that my temper and blood pressure have returned to a more normal state, let me say I still think MSNBC's coverage today of Rev. Wright -- with all of the things which could be presented with regard to the story, amount to coverage I would expect from FOX and not a news organization associated with NBC NEWS.

Now I know they are two different organizations sharing common reporters, but O'Donnell's rude, dismissive, over-the-top attitude (and you certainly didn't see the interview to which I am referring) toward Rev. Soares (who was not being "bombastic" "loud" "arrogant" or other similar terms) who came to the studio to do MSNBC a favor and discuss Wright, candidly, set me off. There was no need for the behavior that I have seen delivered by the micro-brained hosts on FOX.

Earlier in the day we had Contessa Brewer asking if Barack was "Guilty by association." To what? Guilt by association -- especially when there is no "crime" is McCarthyism at its best.

More than a month after this "non-troversy" surfaced, you can tell by listening to them that not a single one of the MSNBC hosts and hostesses (and I mean that as derisively as it can be read) has yet felt the need to read, watch or listen to ANY of what Wright has to say in its entirety. Even given Wright's dominance of the weekend news cycle. (They are journalists. It is their job to be fully informed. As a former journalist myself, it makes me grind my teeth that these people are in the positions that they are and as stupid -- if not stupider -- than they appear. They are doing a piss-poor job for which there is no damn excuse.)

Today -- IMHO -- MSNBC has operated far more like FOX news (barack HUSSEIN!!!! OSAMA!!! I mean obama...) than the more reputable -- if not "balanced" MSNBC/NBC.

Disagreeing with me is of course, the all-American way.

Norah O'Donnell is pleasant and calms my nerves.

Norah is HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
