Who the Hell is Taylor Marsh and Who Really Cares?
Very interesting read, but unlike the author, I WILL call Taylor Marsh for what she is: A fraud.
She's the Michelle Malkin of the left (what's left of her). Seriously
unstable and grossly over-hyped (like most narcissists, by herself of
course).
John Brown goes where others only have nightmares of going...Taylor Marsh's past. Very scary:
JohnA few days ago, I read a confused and silly piece at The Huffington Post by Taylor Marsh.
Taylor Marsh. She's all over the place these days, it seems. She's shown up on TV shows. She's a regular contributor at HuffPo.
I see links to her blogs all over the place. I don't think you can call
Taylor Marsh one of the great opinion shapers of our time, but she's
definitely making an impact in certain circles.
dismantle Taylor Marsh’s credentials the way an actual reporter (or
even a descent blogger) with talent and good journalistic instincts
would.
It’s informative, priceless and devastating:
SheIt’s worth taking the time to read in full.
can take a self-published workplace story and spin it into being a
respected author, buttressing her grandiosity because some other author
just happened to mention her book in another book. Taylor Marsh can
take her work experience in online porn and transform it into research
for her book. She isn't a former porn employee, she's an expert.
Taylor
Marsh can buy radio time in a gambit to get a paying job, fall flat and
then spin that into being a talk radio icon. She can take what might
have been little more than writing advertisements in an alt weekly and
create a background in a print journalism.
Now, I don't want to
pretend like she's a complete fabrication that suddenly emerged, fully
formed, out of nowhere. If you start digging, you'll find that Taylor
has been prolific on the web for a long time. She writes, writes and
writes some more. She's blogged all over the place, including pro-Kerry
work and Patriot Project efforts during the last election cycle.
Blogging regularly, however, doesn't make one a genius. Otherwise, the
guy from icanhazcheezburger.com would be on TV in place of David Gergen.

Well, at least the blockquotes worked on this one, but why does TPM's system break apart sentences/paragraphs like above?
It's ridiculous.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the read.

The method you used to copy the original author's text and put it in the post inserted carriage returns at every apparent line break. I just copied it, checked for returns, got rid of the hrefs, put it in blockquotes, and here is the result:
I'm hoping the lines are OK, otherwise my theory is shot. The only returns I saw were at the ends of each paragraph.
Sometimes people put returns after every line on a web page and get the same unwanted result. But not here.
Or it could be TPM's posting software.

Why, thanks for looking into the code! All I know is it looks fine in my blog and I certainly don't hit "return" at the end of each line.
Maybe becuase I copy & paste from my blog it reads the end of each line in the formatting of my blog as a return?
Will try something different next time to see if it works better.
Thanks again.

Taylor Marsh warns of LAWSUIT in blogger John Brown's future...
Those of us who are running "blossoming hate sites and hate diaries" (her words), like John Brown, may be in violation of the photographer's copyright to the pictures.
Those "gnats" who launch "hate attacks" on Ms. Marsh may be cruisin' for a legal bruisin'.
According to a new post at her site, "that they stole copyrighted photos may come back to haunt them, however, because if the photographers find out their agents will indeed pounce."
Holy shit! I hope attorneys don't POUNCE on me!

No! She went right for "lawsuit"? Too fuuny.
And really, does anyone this she really will to go to court where even MORE people will learn she was never a real Radio Host, merely worked in the porn industry as opposed to doing investigative journalism for a book she paid to get published proving she isn't a legitimately published author?
Doubt it.

Man, that's a pretty devastating takedown.
Obviously, unlike our friend gotalife, I don't believe everything I read on the internets just because it makes people I don't like sound awful, but that's pretty convincing stuff.

He really did some thorough research. And when he speculates, he says he's speculating and why is.
How refreshing.

you answered your own question the exact same way i was going to: Who is Taylor Marsh? She's the Michelle Malkin of the left, only with less credibility.

Less credibility than Malkin? Now you're just being mean!
hehehehe ;-)

having a slick blog and a knack for PR doesn't make someone smart, qualified, or credible....The Taylor Marsh story is at the intersection of Horatio Alger and Clifford Irving...
It struck me that this, and many other points in the article, can easily be applied to the wondrous life story of Arianna Huffington as well. I remember back when she was climbing the Reagan social scene in NYC and DC, found herself a nice rich husband in CA, pushed him to spend his money doing certain things. Then played the conservative to Al Franken's liberal in a short-lived late night network TV show where they talked in their jammies in a bed, a sort of "pillow talk," funny how that show presaged blogging in one's jammies...

Yeah, but Arianna has a brilliant mind and whether you agree with her politics, she knows what's she talking about.
She doesn't just waste air demeaning and berating people she's fighting against without the substance and factual high-ground to back it up.
She isn't unstable and doesn't mimic people like Malkin & Coulter by becoming unhinged when people disagree with her, like Marsh.

I've found it interesting that many of these feminists have chosen to attack Michelle Obama in the same way that the "vast right wing conspiracy" attacked Hillary Clinton.
interesting...
