Robocalls in NC Attempt to Supress Black Vote

The Huffington Post linked to this story:

It seems that an unknown person or group has been targeting black voters with robocalls intended to suppress their vote in next week's primary. The following is the transcript:

"Hello, this is Lamont Williams. In the next few days, you will receive a voter registration packet in the mail. All you need to do is sign it, date it and return your application. Then you will be able to vote and make your voice heard. Please return the voter registration form when it arrives. Thank you."

It seems unthnkable to me that the Clinton campaign would be behind something THIS disgusting. The blowback potential is way too huge for them to be involved, I would think. Any guesses, though, as to who might be behind this?

I can't be McCain, he's not this good w/ technology.
I'm thinking a rogue Clintonista group.

I think you're right. In which case the question becomes: funded by whom? And how extensive are these robocalls?

where are the lawyers on this, and on the robocalls from the Clinton camp reported in PA?
