PPP Poll SITE

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_031908.pdf

Although I've never heard of these poll, if you go through the site, it surely indicates that it can't be disregarded completely. Look at its record in some of the other races.

Thanks

They have gotten it right a couple times. But then, if you flipped a coin for every primary you'd probably get a couple right too. I made it a point a while back to go through the polls and compare them to the results to see which one was the most steadily reliable, and while most of them have essentially sucked, SUSA has, in my opinion, been the most reliable the most consistently.

The AP and other news outlets won't even report on PPP polls because they aren't considered reliable. From what I understand, it's because it's not really a polling business, that relies on income from clients and business for other types of polls. The polling companies that do that have to go to great lengths to ensure that their polls are reliable and trustworthy on a regular basis, otherwise no one would hire them.

Thanks. This is the best information anyone has given me on PPP.

No they can't be dismissed. We'll see. If more polls break that way then we can say that PPP was ahead of the curve.

Hillarym99 is right.

PPP are not professional pollsters. they are a couple of guys with an auto-dialer who run these push-button surveys to promote themselves and see their names in the paper.

no one hires them to do polls because they don't know what they're doing. if you saw the press report on their latest north carolina survey, one of the firm's principals uses the word "guess" to describe the results, then goes on to second guess his own numbers.

pathetic that anyone gives them any credence whatsoever.
