Photos of Obama

I want to ask this seriously and see if I'm just imagining this or if anyone else is noticing the same thing.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a pattern of news orgs using photos of Obama looking up, thus making it seem as if he's "looking down his nose" at everyone (read: elitist)?  Or am I misinterpreting them trying to portray him as a "dreamer, looking to the stars" or something hokey like that?

I find any effort to brand him as "elitist" ridiculous when you compare him to most of his opponents, past and present.

So am I imagining a pattern in the use of photos of him or not?

It's pretty near inevitable that the photos of him will be from below. Look at the pix of where the photog pool gets to be during his big rallies. They're in position between the railing that keeps all the paying guests away from Obama and in front of whatever sort of podium he's standing on.

Now if they stand up, so they're not so low in front of him, they block the view of the paying guests, and since they're not the fans they pretty much have to keep in mind whose view they're blocking.

So what are their choices? Back as far from the podium as they can get against the security railing, over on the side so the lectern and microphones are not in their way or anywhere else in the pit.

In all cases they're down below him about 5-6 feet and he's 6'2" tall. So that's 12 feet below his face that they pretty much have to be, even if they kneel they only lose a couple feet but they also lose the flexibility to creep around the pit while he strides back and forth when he's talking.

So that's why you see so many power shots.

Providence was one of the best sites. They put up a scaffolding on the side and put the video and some of the still shooters up there instead of in front of him. But then he had to remember to not turn his back to the cameras at least 60% of the time.

His pacing makes me really admire the video guys. I'm just starting to do a little video and those guys have really got him pegged - sharp and smooth, back and forth, heavy gear, perfectly lubed tripod mount.

IT IS THE OFFENSIVE ODOR OF THE LITTLE PEOPLE

Would you just prefer that he wear a cloths pin?

(insert dregs of society interrupting his waffle here)

HOPEism: The sinking ship isn't half full it is half empty.

I know you're here to be offensive but you can be somewhat amusing. Thanks.

Please don't feed the trolls.

Sorry.

Yes, and keep an eye out for those black U.N. helicopters, they are in on it.

On this page right now are two Newsmax ads with exactly the type of photo SpiderPig is talking about.
