Michael Corleone to Hyman Roth::"In MY HOME! In MY BEDROOM!...IN THE FUCKIN' GREEN ZONE!"
Am astonishing yawn has greeted the *first death of American soldiers by rocket fire in the Green Zone on Sunday.
Not the insinuation into general commerce of a stealthy suicide bomber, not the furtive emplacement of a booby trap (IED), but direct hostile fire from Sadr City.
This is, I submit, the crossing of a significant threshold, albeit predicted by last month's Embassy directive that hardened sleeping quarters were to replace trailers, and full body armor to be the fashionable day wear for excursions WITHIN THE ZONE!!
When 140,000 soldiers can't buy you a few safe square miles in downtown Baghdad you ain't shit.
I believe Barack will jack Petraeus up about this in a few hours.

Michael Corleone to Hyman Roth
Actually, he says it to Frankie Pentangeli, but I took "Caption License" because no one remembers Frankie Five Angels, and everyone knows Roth...

No one remembers Frankie Five Angels?!?!?! Are you kidding me? His brother flew in from Italy on short notice... He took the honorable Roman way out... I remember Frankie. He turned out to be a real rat bastard, but thankfully, his memory wasn't so good at the end.

"The FBI guys, they asked me about all this stuff, and I told them what they wanted...Ehh, Michael Corleone did this, uhh, Michael Corleone did that...none of that happened...."
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frank Pentangeli ("Frankie Five Angels") (January 27, 1890- March 6, 1959) is a fictional character from the film The Godfather Part II. In the film, he was portrayed by Michael V. Gazzo, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance. It has been suggested that Pentangeli was based on the famed Mafia informant Joseph Valachi, though this has not been confirmed
