How many people really pay attention to Ridley anyway? As far as I can tell, he's a pretty marginal character.
And not much of a writer, either.

I'm not sure who he is, but what bothers me about Clinton is that she has a whole army of little rats and weasels who do her dirty work. I feel that I'm being gamed by all of these surrogates crawling out of the woodwork. Your Krugmans, your Stephanapolis, your Geraldine Ferraros ....
The unfairness of these sometimes cryptic surrogates is madenning.

I am a Clinton supporter who has written in here in some detail recently that I don't think the Ayers matter should prima facie be held against Obama (see my profile info for that piece).
On the other hand, I think it is either terribly arrogant or terribly naive for Sen. Obama or his supporters to think this can be either ignored, or simply dismissed by ridicule, evasion, and ad hominum attacks. The relationship between these two men is going to have to be properly explained, and placed into its proper context. It is a perfectly legitimate question, and it deserves a worthy answer.
If you're having trouble figuring-out how to do that, read what I wrote. Use it as a template, if it's you think it's any use. DON'T just sit on this, and hope it goes away on its own - it WON'T.
