howling like scalded dogs obama supporters cry en masse
hey, i am not even saying i watched all of the debate...i am a hard working middle class guy from sc, have a pretty demanding job, then last night my granddaugher lily came to stay from 4 pm to 10:30 & she was cranky at first, mom separation anxiety as my daughter worked some hours.
so, my watching of the debate was moments or minutes snatched between playing with and chasing around lily. all in all, she is more interesting than abc's debate or any other debate.
so, i am not able to boast about hillary winning or saying she did not lose too badly, but let me offer an observation which the die hard obama folks might want to heads up on:
there were lots of questions on the gotcha kind of stuff early in the debate...and looking at all the comments here and on tpm & kos, its wall to wall howling about the unfairness of abc, in doing so they reflect an almost childlike ignorance of the rules of presidential politics, which is there aint many rules, life is unfair, you will have to face these most onerous of questions, like it or not, it goes with the territory.
hillary took a huge hit on bosnia, as well she should for rankly overstating the circumstances, obama got the bitter questions, the wright questions, hillary was told just about all americans think she is a lying fool, knave and bitch.
this is what is going to face the nominee, all the indignant wailing is only going to signal your immaturity politically.
quit the bitching, get over it, these questions are not going to be hermetically sealed in a mason jar no matter how many protests abc receives.
quit contrary to inital comments, abc did what any reputable news group would do when offered a chance to question someone who will be commander in chief, our leader....sorry, its sad but true, we need to see how they react under duress and its too bad so many obama supporters are whining and howling like scalded dogs, it winds up making you look a bit deluded from reality
now, i would actually like some comments about the debate....can any clinton people admit maybe obama did okay on something or vice versa?
in other words, any sane discussion or shall this site just jump head first, lemming style over the edge into paranoid hysteria?

Actually complaints were coming from supporters of both Hillary and Obama that ABC devoted over half the debate to vapid issues. The concerns weren't about rough politics but about shoddy journalism.
You doth protest too much.

not protesting just observing the near irrational reactions from the uninitiated of politics and history, if some from hillarys camp so reacted, then they are deficient as well.
protest...observation of clear behavior, not the same thing ben now back to the mantra, obama can do no wrong, do not say anything remotely critical of obama or his folks..
thin skin, you show up constantly, perhaps yo doth protest too much

You know I say a lot of things here, but evidently you're not aware that I've criticized Obama myself. Of course he makes mistakes, and of course he's a politician. My beef is that it seems that to some people, he can do no right. In fact, if he comes close to it, they feel the need to substitute Wright for right just to get a cheap shot int.
I've got no complaints with either Obama's or Hillary's performance during this debate.
I've got major complaints with ABC taking this to a new low. Considering past debates, that was quite an undertaking. They spent over half the "debate" talking about nontroversies. Whether they were gaffes made by Clinton or by Obama, it was banana-peel TV. Is it too much to ask that ABC not insult our intelligence?

If you tolerate bad behavior, you allow it to grow. The ABC debate was wretched. We can elevate the political discourse. Are you of the opinion that it can't be elevated?
I'm not sure why we need to be making excuses for ABC.
