Hillary's not ready at 3am, 5am or 9pm. She’s just not ready!
I’m beyond weary of Hillary’s attempts at growing a personality. Since this campaign has begun, she has gone through so many changes in her basic personality that it is very difficult to keep up. Some of her choices have been disgraceful. Clearly, she can’t decide on whether or not she needs to project strength or compassion. The day before the New Hampshire Primary, she “found her voice” (as she would later put it) during her tearful moment at one of her political events. But later she found her “screechy voice” in her famous undignified “Shame on you, Barack Obama” speech. Now she’s back to the utterly transparent technique of re-telling of emotional events in order to bring out her much practiced emotional, “crackly voice personality.” Note that she finds it impossible to re-tell anything without sticking in the part about how it affected her. I find these tactics so manipulative and false and obvious. The Bosnia lie was not misspeaking, not an exaggerated fish story—there was no fish! It was not a mistake. A traumatic event like the one she described over and over again is not one that a person can possibly mis-remember. Even if I were to believe that she did misremember it, what’s worse? Having such a serious lapse in memory or willfully misleading us all? I would suggest that this inability to settle on a personality, this pattern of dissemblance and duplicity is indicative of something very flawed in HRC’s personality. For me, it signifies a serious lack of integrity and self knowledge. She is not ready at 3am, 5am or 9pm. She’s just not ready!

Yeah, yesterday it was remembering 40 years ago how she threw her bookbag at the wall when she heard MLK had been killed.

I agree, BabyBelle.
I was deeply offended that she would choose such a moment to once again turn the spotlight on herself. I don't doubt that she believes in the values and the legacy of Martin Luther King.
But it's kind of like when you're at a funeral and you notice that best euology's as the one's that don't bring attention to the speaker.
Hillary always manages to speak of her beliefs in ways that are self serving and ultimately we find her unconvincing and hard to swallow.

You mean, back when she was a Republican? Oh, I forgot. She still is.

It wasn't only the story, but the way it came across -fake and calculated. In some ways I feel sorry for Hillary. She seems caught in so many crosswinds of how to respond and what to say. The book bag story seemed scripted.

That Martin Luther King stuff was so phony--I was embarrassed to watch it. It's always about her. Say, Bronx girl. Do you know Jenny from the block?

It IS embarrassing. Especially because she such a smart, talented individual. But precisely because she is so smart, you'd think she'd have made better choices.
My strong negatives about Hillary come from observing how she has behaved throughout this campaign. She is impressive in terms of her talent but Im not impressed with how she's used those talents.
I suppose she believes that there are campaign rules and then there are rules for when she becomes President. I think the campaign reveals a lot about the candidate. And what I've seen has very often been embarrassing and made me lose respect for her.

No moral compass... in fact no compass other than SELF. SELF. Me in the Spotlight. Me. Me. Me.
Is there anyone left who is not gagging?
How about the latest one... not just bookbags against the wall... but the pregnant woman in Ohio who according to Hillary died because she didn't have $100. Except that too isn't true... never mind that in the telling she is slandering a reputable hospital and its doctors and nurses.
When will this torture be over? Can we run a real person for NY Senator please... I'm ready to pledge even though I live in another state.
anybody but Hillary for President. Anybody but Hillary for NY Senator.

And then there was that lie about being a Yankee fan. Not an earth shaker, but another of those constant lies that make her so inauthentic.

...and the one about being named after Sir Edmund Hillary -- five years *before*
he famously climbed Mount Everest!

In keeping with the "me, me, me" theme ... Did anyone else notice that Hillary's NH crying moment was also about her? She didn't cry because she was moved by the plight of one of those people she'd heard a story of, no, she cried because she was asked what keeps her going, and she it was obvious to me that she was crying because she was losing! She had just lost big in Iowa, and was feeling sorry for herself! Someone noticed that it had been hard for her and she cried for herself. It may very well have been real emotion, but it was self-centered.

Maureen Dowd wrote that the reason for her despair in NH was that Hillary couldn't believe the country didn't comprehend just how desperately we NEED her.

Yes, I did notice that. Her tears were for herself; that this race is so important; that she might not win it; boo hoo!

I agree with many of these comments. I've tried to analyze my strong reactions to Hillary.
The main issue I have with her is the fact that she does not
(as Edna.epstein said earlier in this thread) seem to have a moral compass. She doesn't possess that thing within her that would prevent her from putting her own ambitions ahead of making the right ethical choices during this campaign.
Everyone, no matter what your profession is in life has a line that they do not cross. This is a simple concept. And people are seeing beginning to notice.
Let's not forget this is the person who along with her husband made the comparisons to Jesse Jackson and made race an issue in this campaign. She crossed that line. She's responsible.
She decided to ridicule Obama the day after having said what an honor it was to be in this campaign with him. Remember the Celestial Choirs Speech?
"I could stand up here and say 'Let's just get everybody together. Let's get unified. The sky will open! The light will come down! Celestial choirs will be singing! And everyone will know we should do the right thing and the world will be perfect!' Maybe I've just lived a little long, but I have no illusions about how hard this is going to be. You are not going to wave a magic wand and have the special interests disappear!"
And with that all too familiar condescending tone.
She decided to mock Obama's appeal to the nation to reach for greater things.
She went on 60 minutes and announced that she takes Obama at his word that he's not a Muslim and rejected rumors that he is with "As far as I know."
Well, I'm just tired of it. And it's really ugly and sad when a woman as smart as she is behaves this way.
It doesn't have to be this way.
These are only a few examples of where she's crossed the line.
Look, I'm new at this blogging thing. You can see from my original post here, I wasn't sure about the paragraphs. But I sure as hell know where my moral, ethical lines are.
So does Obama.
That's why he's my guy!

For example, responses about the Bosnia episode from Clinton and from her supporters fail to address the basic problem. She made so many foreign visits, she confused them? How many times was she under sniper fire that she could have confused this episode with one of those? None. As someone who, like Clinton, has never been under sniper fire, I would remember it if I had been, and I would never - regardless of lack of sleep - misremember and say I had been.
If I had the bad judgment to fictionalize such an episode, I would not continue to embellish over a period of weeks and draw my daughter into the lie by putting her in a position of having to support or renounce me. (Chelsea on questioning said that Yes, she supported her mother's account, "and I was there." This was several days before Hillary Clinton, confronted with video evidence, withdrew her account.)
People like myself who defended the Clinton's during Bill Clinton's administrations and were not "Hillary haters" are genuinely disturbed that she touted McCain's qualifications over Obama's and used Fox-News tactics against a fellow Democrat. We're genuinely disturbed that she lies and embellishes in a way that misleads voters about her capabilities as a leader.
We've taken a closer look at why her earlier health care initiatives failed and we don't think she has learned anything from that failure. We would have had universal health care by now if she hadn't stifled all incremental efforts 15 years ago. We don't trust her to do anything about energy independence now, because the Clintons did nothing about it during the 8 years when they had the bully pulpit.
The flood of mindless insults from the Clinton supporters who post here do nothing to cause us to reevaluate our mistrust of Clinton's judgment, leadership capabilities, or motives.

Watch Hillary imply that Sinbad is the one making things up with her" he's a comedian you know" response to the question.
Watch her pause and run the lines through in her mind, before she launched into a very detailed description of what never happened during her stop at Tuzla Airport, in Bosnia.
Her body language shows that she knew it was a big Fairy Tale that she had been spinning.

Well, I hope that all those claims are true for the sake of the poor people. Who verifies those claims. After all, the Clintons have been known to embellish a wee bit, once or twice, or......
