Hillary Wasting Hours Pushing For a New Sporting Event:Debate
Hillary Clinton and her surrogates are constantly pushing for more debates with Barack Obama before the Indiana and North Carolina primaries. Her latest push has been to offer taking him on with a Lincoln vs. Douglas type of debate, just the two of them with no commentators.
We need a reality check here.
First off, there have already been 21 debates between the Democrats running for office. That’s more than in any other time in the Democratic Primary history.
Secondly, perhaps Hillary Clinton would help herself better by talking to voters one on one about what she plans on doing for them instead of spending so much time trying pushing for a new debate.
We’ve seen at least 5 days worth of stories where Hillary’s made arguments for having another debate. It’s a well known fact that ‘losers’ push for debates, winners put limits to the amount and type of debates that happen.
Hillary Clinton by her own admission every day, by pushing for more debates, is admitting that she is ‘losing' the Democratic nomination’.
One thing is clear from the start. Hillary is a pro when it comes to debating. She was a champion at it during her debating years in college. Being a good debater doesn’t make you a good candidate for the Presidency of the United States however.
Talking to the voters, giving them what they need to hear to make clear decisions, and not what they want to hear, and helping them help themselves -- is what makes a good president.
Hillary’s only chance of winning is by somehow tripping Barack Obama up during another debate.
Obama and voters aren’t stupid. They know that’s her ultimate goal. Hillary – do yourself and voters a favor. Tell us what you plan on doing for us if you win this nomination instead of spending hours of trying to produce, yet another sporting event on television.

A "debate," much like the ABC News one, is a free ad that the bankrupt Clinton campaign doesn't have to pay for.
So, no thanks.

I trounced the debate with the potted plant on Fox today, just ask Wallace. So Keith and I are goig to take some time off for a massage and leave her to twist.
HOPE CHANGE won't scare the kids.

A debate is on the ISSUES (economy, war, environment, health care, etc..) -- what Hillary wants is a PERSONAL ATTACK FIGHT! A SPORT EVENT!

To dare a rag like Obama to debate is a no lose situation for Clinton. He can't afford to get on stage with her again, and, when he ducks the debate, he comes across to all but his most ardent fans as chicken. She should mention his ducking the debate now and then just for grins.

Well, ducking all those bullets in Tuzla sure worked for her, didn't it?
He is simply SMART not to rise to her bait. Not debating her is denying her the free air-time she wants/needs. It is an intelligent decision, and shows maturity and an inability to get goaded into things like threatening other nations, for example.
Calling someone "chicken" for not puffing up his chest and accepting a dare sounds like something George Bush would do...or Hillary Clinton, for that matter. Why should he let her frame the conversation, and do something you said yourself is a "no lose" for her? Why should that reflect negatively on him? We've had enough of 3rd-grade bravado. Obama is a grown-up, and is doing the right thing.

Hillary's already lost -- her pushing for more debates PROVES that. She has NO CHOICE but to try and take Obama on. Of course, her expertise in debating has NOTHING AT ALL to do with her offer, now does it?
Being SMART is what Obama is doing. ANYBODY can make a one moment in time screw up -- even Hillary. But she's less likely to because of her expertise of debating.
Taking her on is like taking on famous bowler on when you can't bowl well. Has NOTHING to do with your ability to be a leader.
