Hillary Clinton will be the next President.
Check the polls folks. It is over. Obama will drop out. Wright and Obama are starring in gop down ticket ads. This will cause the SD to endorse Clinton.
We must change the direction of this country and Clinton is the best choice to try to solve all the problems.
It takes a Clinton to clean up after a bush. Please stop bashing our nominee and go after mcwar. We can unite and win the general easily but it is up to you.
Take a break, get over it , come back and unite with Clinton like the gop did with mcwar so we can win this time.

I can't believe you of all people are saying this Ben. Your candidate still leads in delegates (even if Michigan and Florida are seated) and still has a chance to make a come back in overall popular votes.
You know I support Clinton based on electablility, but if Obama leads in elected delegates and in the popular vote, he deserves the nomination--even if we end up with McCain for 8 years (groannnn), we'll probably control Congress.
How can you give up so easily?

Which polls? Intrade, with Hillary at 17.5% to Obama's 80.9%? Pollster.com, averaging across all polls, that puts her at 40.8% to Obama's 49.5%?
Suggest taking your own advice re reading polls. But I agree about uniting. We'll be friendly, I promise.

It is the end!
Hillary has caught up and passed Obama!
She has SEALED the DEAL!
All of us Obama trolls are quietly sobbing to ourselves, "Goatlife was right!"

I'm glad I'm not the only Obama supporter to finally see the light. ;)
It's the beginning of the end for Obama.
(Of course, that end might be in 2017, but still…)

Ben, I admire your confidence in the system.
But while I admit I've been very wrong before, something is really different about the dynamic of this race. And before a Clinton troll jumps in, let me say it's not just because he's lost in some very important states.
The Clinton's aren't fighting for pledged delegates. That ship has sailed.
There goal is to make Obama an unelectable candidate.
Before Ohio, it was the NAFTAGATE lie.
Before Pennsylvania, it was Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright and "he can't win in the general election because white people won't vote for him".
He outspent Hillary 2 to 1 in advertising in PA. But he lost to Clinton marketing.
He's not running against Hillary any more. He's running against Clinton marketing.
Maybe he thought it wasn't worth it to bring up the fact that it was the Clinton campaign that calmed Canada down about NAFTA rhetoric.
Maybe he thought the Colombia Free Trade controversy was more trouble than it's worth.
Maybe he thought in both cases the media would do its job.
If the primary in Indiana were held today, according to the polls, he'd lose by the same margin he did in PA. And it looks like it's getting very close in NC.
This is politics. And it will get worse.
If he just wants to point to the math at the end and say, nice going Hillary but I won, he's got more confidence in the DNC primary process than I do.
These races are organic and narratives can pile up and twist things out of whack and I just wish he wouldn't run his campaign in a vacuum.

Obviously, we both hope you're wrong. :)
I'll actually take it a step further. I don't just have confidence in the process, but also in Clinton herself. I don't think she wants to destroy the party. I think she just needs to be shown incontrovertibly that she isn't going to win this thing. She might step down after the next set of primaries (although I doubt it), and she might step down after the last set of primaries (more likely, but still doubt it), but I don't think she's going to make a ruckus at the convention. In fact, the only reason I think she'll stay in until June 3rd is because we're so close already and she wants everyone to vote, and the only reason I think she'll stay in afterwards is because it's cheap to do so (no more intraparty campaigning required other than to the supers).

Yeah, she'll win with 59% support from black voters. When Kerry had 80% of it and that still didn't put him over the top. She'll also win it by losing Minnesota and Wisconsin.
April 28, 2008 2:37 PM | Reply | Permalink
And Washington. And Oregon. And New Hampshire. Incidentally, did you know that MN+WI+OR+WA+NH equal exactly the same number of electoral votes as PA+OH. Remember, however, big states are very, very important, so you should pay attention only to the big states and no others.

Gotalife is clueless. Barack Obama is going to win the nomination and the Presidency.
The only think Clinton is going to win with 59% of the African American vote is a trip back to the Senate (until she runs for reelection in NY, and she is soundly defeated by the moderate Republican they smartly run against her).

So Gotalife, just in case you turn out to be wrong on this one. Will you support Obama? Or will you take the road of so many of your fellow Clinton supporters and not vote, not vote top of ticket or vote McCain? Suggestion, before extolling us Obama supprters to rally behind Clinton, get over to MyDD and get the Clinton camp to to say they will support Obama should the nomination go to him.

OK, I'll switch to Clinton just as soon as I finish up with some other bad ideas:
• Concrete Parachute
• Glass Hammer
• Cows that fart more methane
• Three-way mirror (watching them, watching you, watching them)
• etch-a-sketch checkbook
• artificial darkness
• A bad ideas generator
Or, we could just let the French decide who won the Dem primary. I think that's a much better bad idea than your bad idea.

Just answer the question. Unless you won't because you know if you say you will only vote for Senator Clinton it makes you out to be about as shallow as one can get. I sense it matters not to you and to so many of her followers what her policies are, whether she is a Republican or Democrat. All that matters is that she gets the nomination. What really get's me is these supporters have the audacity to call the Obama supporters members of a cult.

Sorry. I can't elect a known liar unless said candidate emerges from her bunker to tell the truth.
And since there's no toilet down there in her bunker, all her Bs'n is liable to give her brain damage.
And since she'd rather take money from drug companies, than get a prescription, I have deemed that your candidate, Hillary Clinton, is damaged goods.
And is fit for the garbage can.
... Wait, wait. Ok, there may be purpose left for her.
I'll let her stump for Barack Obama after she concedes.
Then I will release her to the heavens so she can star in her own intergalactic soap opera.

You've got the definition about right, I'd say, although "witty" is obviously subjective. It's snark, because it is so obviously over-the-top (although some actually believe it) that it is poking fun. (I'm assuming you're referring to my snark. It's not clear to me whether or not gotalife is serious, or if he is one long piece of satire.)
