George is Right
George Stephanopolis is exactly right. MANY Democrats have many questions and concerns about Obama and his ties. He and they have, in fact, become a major issue in the campaign, so the issues WERE being addressed in the debate -- finally!! Obama has dissed the voters in Florida and Michigan, the voters in non-urban America, and now the millions of voters who are very concerned about his ethics, his ideology, his electability, and his associations. The audacity! Not of hope -- but of arrogance.

That's nice Pat. Were your questions answered? I felt bad for Senator Obama because I don't know how I would feel if I were responsible for the actions of what someone I work with did forty years ago. Or things my pastor said that I've already talked about. Or even being questioned about the patriotism of my pastor. I have no clue how patriotic my pastor is. I also felt bad for Hillary when she had to rehash her mistake. As to what Obama said about rural voters, that was a recent issue that was fair and he defended himself. As to Michigan and Florida, are you serious? How is he responsible for the rules set by the DNC? Admit it, you're being a wee bit disingenuous.

Hey, but you have to be happy that at least they didn't waste time on things like habeas corpus, Gitmo, Iran, presidential signing statements, unitary executive, or environmental policy!

You're up against the wrong crowd here, Pat. Take a look at "Oh, stop it!!!" by Mark Still.
Seeya dude,

I'll take that as a compliment, because you're absolutely right. Anyone who thinks flag pins on lapels are more important than habeas corpus isn't going to make much progress talking to me.

What's the point man? If you ask either Clinton or Obama about any of the issues you brought up, they'd answer them in exactly the same way. It wouldn't have been much of a "debate." They wouldn't have had anything to debate about!
Clinton: "I think habeas corpus is a good thing."
Obama: "I as well."
Obama: "Guantanamo Bay is a disgrace to this country."
Clinton: "Yeah."
I mean, it's corporate television. Did you think they would let the above happen?

Except that's not how they really answer. As someone else said when making a similar point, these questions will provide distinctly different answers in the general election. Isn't it a good idea to see how they answer them now?
Also, on Iran they appear to have quite different positions, and I suspect that Hillary might favor unitary executive theory somewhat. That last one is just my gut (i.e., "truthiness"), so feel free to tear into me if I'm way off base.

Who are the non-troll Clinton supporters on TPM? Can anyone recommend any posts that have a Clinton POV of last night's debate?

Some of the Clinton supporters whose posts I like the most are one_wilson, another_reader, and kensdad. I don't know if any of them wrote about last night's debate, however. worker_bee isn't a Clinton supporter, but she's also made it clear she's not an Obama supporter.
