THE FACTS: True enough, Obama does not take money from oil companies. No candidate does. It is illegal for corporations to give money to politicians. Corporations, however, do have political action committees that collect voluntary donations from employees and then donate them to candidates. Obama doesn’t take money from PACs. He also doesn’t take money from lobbyists.
But he does accept money from executives and other employees of oil companies and two of his fundraisers are oil company executives. As of Feb. 29, Obama’s presidential campaign had received nearly $214,000 from oil and gas industry employees and their families, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. Clinton had received nearly $307,000 from industry workers and their families and Republican Sen. John McCain, the likely GOP presidential nominee, received nearly $394,000, according to the center’s totals.

Seems Mr. Auchi may have helped Obama buy his million dollar property long before Obama had millions of dollars. Wonder what favors Mr. Auchi expects, when Obama leaves Iraq free to be taken over by special interests such as him.

59.) The Passport Invasion is a conspiracy to find dirt on me! - LIAR. Your own Campaign Foreign Policy Advisor is the CEO of the company that looked into your records. PS - You had them look into yours to hide the fact you looked into Clinton’s and McCain’s more than a year before!
60.) Rev. Meeks has nothing to do with my campaigning - LIAR. Rev. Meeks appeared in ads for your Senate Campaign, donated to you, and helped raise money, then AND NOW. PS - He also seems to despise America.
61.) My wife didn’t mean America is ignorant, she was just using a phrase - LIAR. Again, MicHELLe’s comments perfectly sync with Wright’s, Meeks’, and Farrakhans, both in language, anger, and direction.

I think it would be fairer to use the meme "recycling" from the Patrick campaign.
The interesting thing is that the Wright flap brought all that "don't tell me words don't matter" rhetoric to a screeching halt. Of course, some of the worst Freeper videos are now splicing that words don't matter speech into video of Wright damning America and bodies falling from the WTC.

I happen to agree that technically Obama plagiarized Patrick's lines, and it does question his oratorical authenticity (he was claiming to write most of his own material before that), though I don't think it's a major gaffe. But gotalife, you quote this loooong list (a couple of examples and a link would make it more readable)including plagiarism and do not cite the source for this list. What gives?

Please don't equate Michelle Obama's words as being un-patriotic or un-American. Please! African-Americans have fought and died for America, THIS COUNTRY! Since the American Revolution, No ONE has ever questioned our Patriotism we've fought to fight for our country! A country we've helped in founding and building! All the while being treated like second class citizens!

More interesting info. It's pretty clear by now that Clinton's war stories about the landing were concocted from other memories, probably to the outposts. We don't seem to have video of her getting in and out of that Black Hawk. That experience could have provided the memories she used to embellish her landing at Tuzla. Togo West seems to remember events similar to the ones she described, too.
But this thread is about Obama. Certainly we can show that he wasn't lying in some of these examples.
I've done a lot of research on the Chicago Obama/Rezko realestate deal, and even corresponded with some of the reporters covering the story. I have to say that the way gotalife characterizes the deal on the adjacent lot is the clearest and most accurate I've seen. Obviously, you don't do people a $625,000 favor unless you expect something back for it someday.
I also think the fact that Michelle's statements and even Barack's statements about so many things are so compatible with Wright's preachings is going to continue to be a problem for Obama.

All I ask, is to be fair and balanced. No, not like fixed news but when progressive blogs unite with corporate media to accuse Clinton of lying, it is proven false and there is no retraction or apology, that is not fair or balanced. That is pathetic.
This bias is killing the credibility of the progressive blogs and alienating half their readers is the dumbest thing they have done so far.

Well, what else was she going to say once the video showing her waltzing up to the little girl came to light? Well, she tried the excuse of sleep-deprivation -- didn't work.
Has she yet admitted her mistake in giving Bush the right to declare war when it is Congress that is Constitutionally required to do so?
She only admits mistakes when she has nowhere else to go, and even then she tries to blame it on something like being tired. Gee, what if she got to be president and the phone rang at 3 am and she was, um, tired?

How is that a lie? He quit smoking, which means that he stopped buying them, and smoking them by the pack. Quitting smoking is incredibly hard and you have those weak moments every now and then where you slip up. That doesn't mean you have started smoking again, it just means you are human. Its not like he pretended to have taken enemy fire while in bosnia or something! Why don't you just run along and play over at red state?

The Deputy Sheriff that told Hillary the story, had no first hand knowledge of any of it, and did not even know the woman who died. He was passing on hearsay, and Hillary just ran with it.
Yes we need to fix the health care system, but we also need to deal in facts.
Was the woman turned away because she did not have a $100.00 or not. What is the truth.
If she did not go, because she assumed she would be turned away because she did not have a $100.00 then that is a far different thing. Is that what happened.
What is her family situation. Did she have other children. She was 35 years of age. Did she have a husband, or was there a father involved. Could she not get $100.00 from any family member or friend for a medical emergency.
Please flesh out the truth, instead of pretending that Hillary was spreading the gospel truth. She was not.
She was telling a bunch of hearsay from a person she never met before, and who did not have any first hand knowledge of what actually happened.
Hillary was very careless in how she choose to accept what a stranger told her, and just run with it.
What next, will she run with a story about a woman finding a finger in her chili at Wendy's!

I'm surprised to see people inverting the thread like this. I do think the smoking issue, reported by ABC I think is a little wierd. The guy who reported it was put off by the fact that Obama lied to him about just having a cigarette. What you have to watch out for is the fallout from this stuff. Obama has to be careful not to take any kind of mood altering drug -- a beta blocker for example -- to deal with the addiction. Complicated politics. The post does read like something from Free Republic, but a lot of the facts are accurate. Jake Tapper on the smoking thing I think?

I especially loved the part whre you kept using "LIAR" in caps and boldface. That was hilarious! This is the BEST SATIRE PIECE I HAVE EVER READ (virtual shouting intentional.) Off the top of my head, The One about him being a Professor at the University of Chicigo. Gotalife qoutes Hillary's campaign on this but sadly the university beggs to differ. The I have always been against Iraq one. The logic there only works if you don't count the state senate of Illinois as "In Office" and assume that there was no possible polticol cost for him even in that position which is BS. The one about him not being a constitutional lawyer. All of the Obama is muslum stuff is Straight out of the Free republic. Hence no sourcing. Then there are the just plain stupid ones. Like the Patriotism thing which is totally subjective and implying that Treehouse is bigger than Wal-mart. And that is just off the top of my head.
