Carrier documentary on PBS

I'm a sucker for documentaries. Even though I barely get WETA, I've watched the first four episodes and recommend the series. My father was a carrier pilot, but beyond personal connection, it is interesting to see the different military mindsets up and down the ranks. The lower ranks are heavily integrated; the upper ranks are still mostly white, mostly male.

Last night's episode featured a good ol' OK boy that just couldn't get past his racist upringing. It was tragic, because he seemed like a very outgoing guy and even had black friends among the crew. He took a less than honorable termination rather than change his beliefs.

Watch it.
