Americans Rejoice

Americans rejoice!

Foreclosures are up! Bankruptcies are up! Healthcare costs are up! Gas costs are up! Food costs are up! Personal debt is up! Food stamp dependence is up! Unemployment is up! Murders are up!

Consumer confidence is down! Home prices are down! The stock market is down! The value of the dollar is down! Disposable income is down! Approval of the president is down! Approval of Congress is down!

Bitterness is neither up nor down. It is forbidden.

So what are Americans allowed to be?

Sweet?

Sour?

Tasteless?

:P

At appropriate times, Americans will be told which personal feelings are allowed. The task of identifying correct feelings and informing the public has been entrusted to the McCain and Clinton campaigns by the Powers That Think Everything Is Just Fine.

Americans should be alert for appropriately timed bulletins notifying them of the feelings approved for their use until the next bulletin.

The appropriate times follow speeches by Barack Obama.

Americans have to be sweet and sour. But they do get to choose chicken or pork. Its a democracy you know.

I was hoping the answer would be spicy.

:)

Or saucy would be good, too.

Certainly not bland. That would be a bummer.

OOOH! SAUCY!
I like that one!

Well since I can't be bitter and I am dismayed, I guess that makes me......optimistic?

lol...you nailed it! Nobody is bitter, because Clinton and McCain say so? Give me a break!

Gas, food, housing prices are skyrocketing while if you're lucky you get a 3% raise that isn't even keeping up with inflation. So you damn right I'm bitter...and to suggest that it means I'm not hard working is absurd. Am I optimistic that gas prices are going to go back down? Hell no.

I hate liars, I hate ignorance, but there is one thing I hate more than anything else and that is insulting my intelligence and that is what the MSM, McCain, and Clinton have done.

You can tell by the reactions to the crowds when Clinton repeats (well distorts) Obama's comments...they don't even flinch...because they know it is true.

I like the way you wrote this post. It's a breath of fresh air compared to all the ranting, whining and half-assed poetry I usually read on TPM.

'commended.

I just lost my retirement! No I'm not bitter, I'm proud!
