Al Qaeda endorses John McCain
John McCain thought that the stated preferences of terrorist organizations were important campaign issues until Osama bin Laden posted a video on the internet late today. In the video, bin Laden declared his endorsement of John McCain for President of the United States. McCain's responsed by criticizing the Democrats for legitimizing Al Qaeda by insinuating that this endorsement means anything. A reporter then had to remind Senator McCain that he felt it necessary to bring up Hamas' stated preference for Obama at a campaign event just the day before.

this is too good to be true. please come back and submit a link. it goes to show you that these candidates cannot be held responsible for other people's actions. obama did not seek an endorsement nor did he ask for one from farrakan (ck spelling) and hamas. by mccain's own measuring stick, we should hold him accountable for this treat from osama bin laden.

it would be funny if it wasn't plausible.
al-quada's current plan is to "destroy America by bankrupting them"
the "we'll fight them there so we don't have to fight them here" argument that seems to have baked into people's heads is more ridiculous with every passing day.
the extremists have their recruitment plan and their war strategy carried out by the US government.
we're paying for our soldiers to be sent over there, for them to be attacked. we're paying them not to fight us (for now) and re-building their infrastructure while ours is crumbling.
al-queda just needs to sit back and watch.
if they really wanted to attack the US, they'd be waiting a few more years until the military was severely depressed, the economy in worse shape. a continued presence in Iraq pretty much guarantees that.
So really, it's not hard to argue that McCain as president would be the best thing to happen for people that want to continue to fight the US. He'll make it easy for them.
