10 million reasons that Hillary is not fit to be the nominee for President
Hillary Clinton is not fit to be the Democratic nominee for two words and over 10 million reasons: Mark Penn.
Penn's political consulting firm, Penn, Schoen & Berland, has been paid $10.8 million so far by Clinton's campaign.
Meanwhile, your campaign is getting a reputation as a bit of a deadbeat.
It says a lot about Clinton that she keeps paying this guy this kind of money as a top advisor month after month - even after he has demonstrated that he has led her down a losing path.
And now he goes and meets the Colombian government about a free trade plan that Hillary says she opposes. She's not paying him over $10 million to prioritize other clients' needs.
Hillary - do something good for yourself and for the Democratic Party. Do something that Obamabots and Hillbots can agree on: Fire Mark Penn. He's probably already talking with Dick Morris about writing the foreword to Penn's tell all book do out next year. Get out while you still can!

Mark Penn met with the Colombian Ambassador to let his government know that Hillary is not against the trade agreement, but she has to lie to the blue collar suckers in Ohio and Pantsuitmania.
Does anyone in their right mind actually believe that Mark Penn did this without the blessing of the Clintons and that Hillary's position was never discussed.
This is another Hillary Fairy Tale, just like her Tuzla Sniper Fairy tales.

I think that Penn would put his business far above any loyalty he might have for the Clintons. So yes, I believe he could have done it without her knowledge.

Whether she knew about it or not, does not matter. If she did, she will deny it-- if she didn't she deserves to get tarred with it anyway. Penn has been a known quantity all along. Let's make sure all the un- or under-employed Catholic primary voters in PA (with a HS diploma or less, her only reliable demographic other than women of a certain age) hear that her chief campaign confabulator is out working against their interests.
The popular vote total is her last ditch. Make sure she gains little or no ground in PA.

Why isn't there the breathless outrage about this that Hillary generated over NAFTA-gate two days before the Ohio primary?
A little bit more outrage from the Obama campaign should be voiced. This is a bigger deal than the misquoted Goolsbe. This is her top surrogate making a ton of money, advocating policy that is in direct opposition to Hillary's position. This is more than "a wink and a nod", that turned voters the last few days before Ohio. And the Colombian govt. two days later "criticized" Obama.
However, I'll take that particular criticism any day: they criticized him for standing up for unionization of workers in Colombia.

I asked a neighbor of ours who was on oxegen when I was child why he did not quit smoking. He told me, "Why bother it has already killed me." Why would she fire him now? Would it help her to win this election?

No, it won't help her to win. She's already lost.
But it will help her to win back her dignity and some respect. When this is all over, she'll be working to win back people across the country who she turned off in the primary.
It's never too early to start.

20 million reasons not to vote for Obama: the number of individuals who will remain uninsured under his "universal" health plan.
You see, it all depends on what the meaning of "universal" is.
Thanks.

well played sir.
Oh course, if Hillary is the nominee she'll likely continue get advice from Mr. Penn, virtually guaranteeing a loss to McCain. So the 40 million or so uninsured will remain that way.

If you think hyper-partisan Hillary will be able to pass ANYTHING through Congress, I have a depreciated House to sell you.

Could not agree more. Made similar point in previous Blog:

Speaking of depreciated homes...
This is a continued example poor judgement for the sake of self-interest in the Clintons. This Mark "mental midget" Penn fiasco is nothing compared to the shenanigans involved in finally killing the Glass-Steagall Act by Bill and friends in 1999.

**$109 million reasons not to vote for the First Couple. Do you make that kind of money "giving speeches" or promising influence?

Yes sir. "Universal" under Clinton means "compulsory".

Yes, Hillary's plan covers everyone because they get punished if they don't buy it. Obama's plan makes it affordable to buy it and believes people will buy it if they can afford it. The Clintons always try to make it sound like Obama left someone out who wanted to join. The facts are that Clinton is willing to PUNISH people who she says can afford it even if they don't feel they can afford it and Obama is not willing to do that without trying the other way first. Suppose that by your income, you're supposed to be able to afford Clinton insurance, but by your bills, you can't afford it. Lots of people have tried to get through these tough times by using their credit cards. Lots of people have medical bills or college loans or other outstanding bills. Under Clinton plan, they still can't afford the insurance, but now they get punished too---AND IT HAPPENED JUST THIS WAY IN ROMNEY'S STATE'S PLAN.

Nice.
Let's ALL help the GOP as often and viciously as we can.
After all, we don't care about electing Obama. All we;'re interested in is bashing any and all Clintons.
Oh, sorry, I thought this was little green footballs, and i'm just trying to fit in.

What's vicious about this post? I'm not bashing her. I'm giving her sound advice. Wouldn't you agree that she should fire Penn?
While I'm being sort of funny with the post there is something very serious and valid here: look at the advisors that candidates surround themselves with. It says a lot about the candidate. Now there are always going to be advisors who step out of line or say something stupid. Penn goes far beyond in his arrogance and doublespeak.
If you like Hillary, you should hate Penn.

So I see this mean-spirited snark and i just have to ask, what in the hell has gotten in to you? You used to be a lot more balanced and even-keeled. Now you're reactive, snarky, and totally rabid against even longtime friends like me?
It's very sad to see.
I think you've succeeded in chasing me out. Congratulations.
I'll see you all after the primary. Maybe.

OK, Workerbee, who do you want to vote for? Who exactly ARE you supporting? If it is Obama you have a very funny way of showing it. If it is Hillary, I rest my case. If it is someone else, I'd love to know who that is.

I understand you are frustrated at the corner your candidate has painted herself into. It must be tough to stand behind someone as inconsistent as she is.
Take heart! It will all be over soon.
By the way, if you'd actually visited LGF lately, you'd see that all of the talk is about Obama. Because they know he's going to win.

If Hillary actually took the advice and fired Penn, I would be suspicious of whether it was really Hillary Clinton. My first intuition upon hearing such news would be to suspect Kang and/or Kodos.
