WOLF BLITZER IS THE BIGGEST SHILLEST A-HOLE

On his Special Edition tonight on the election, he just said that the delegate race is close. And Carville agreed that Clinton has a chance to pass him up. And nobody corrected them. How can you have your own show and push lies just for the sake of Hillary. I'm so done with CNN!!!!!

Is Wolf Blitzer actually a Hillary shill? Or is he just a tool?

its both

i think blitzer is too incompetent to actually be an effective schill.

I cast my vote for "complete tool".

Me too. I tried MSNBC after I gave up on CNN, but in all honesty, they aren't any better.

That's why I prefer the internet. Real Clear Politics, TPM, Politico, etc.

I watch the big 3 cable news networks only when I want to see what they're talking about. Once they start talking, I turn off the TV and go to the PC.

I can't wait until after November, when I can just enjoy my iPod instead.

I started watching MSNBC after being sick of the over and over and over ad nauseum loop of the Rev. Wright snippet on CNN. MSNBC did it too but not as intensly. In the process I discovered Keith Olberman. Have you watched his show? He's funny and he dislikes Hillary about as much as Wolf loves her. He isn't afraid to say it either.

Actually, Olbermann has a long relationship with the Clintons and does not hate them. I think he disapproves of her actions in this primary season, but to say he hates her is simply not true.

Cable news is deleteriously inane.

I don't know how the delegate race is close...Barack is up by over 10% in pledged delegates.

I used to respect Wolf, until this election. The bias towards Clinton is ridiculous. I've emailed CNN multiple times. I suggest you all do the same.

I also suspect that in 4-8 years, most news will be via the internet. People like having info at their own fingertips - not being forced the info by human and, thus, biased anchors.

The media can't pass up advertising dollars. This is the only true bias. Just watch the sponsors who surround what they call "news".

They can't tell you what to think but the sure try to influence what you think about.

Wolf Blitzer is just a jackass and a scumbag with no integrity, like everyone else at CNN. MSNBC is just as disgusting. I watched Friday as different people repeated "Oh this race is close" and "They're pretty much tied aren't they."

They're all jackals. There should be a law against media knowingly disseminating false information.

Actually, it wasn't MSNBC I was watching, it was PBS. Jim Lehrer, David Brooks and David Shields ran down the shilliest crap I'd heard in a while and all recited that "This race is tied up". At no point mentioning Brooks links to Clinton. Brooks gave the most skewed horrible view of the race short of Lalo and Marginal.

Wolf is a sweetheart compared to Lou Dobbs. I use to disagree with those who called him a racist, but his obvious bias against Obama and snarky remarks about his speech, etc. has changed my opinion.
Every day CNN, aka Dobbs and Company, continue to rant about Reverene Wright. Yet, they seldom report or harp on HRC's serious 'sins'. CNN tries to manipulate and make the news, not report it - yet, to be fair, I don't think anyone considers Dobbs, Blitzer and most of the others journalists.

Wolf Blitzer, Lou Dobbs, and don't forget Campbell Brown..all a-holes. Even msnbc in the daytime is extremely biased. I used to even like Tim Russert, but he had Tucker Carlson on there today spewing a ton of crap. They are still talking about Clinton victory scenarios. I just listen to the cable news channels for a good laugh now. Cable news is just rigged. It's so sad. The craziest thing about it is that they seem to be surprised and depressed that the whole Rev. Wright thing had no effect on the public. They can't figure out why the voters aren't falling for the bs anymore.

TV news is not informative if you've got the internet.

That being said, I think they did a pretty decent job of resisting race-baiting from the Clintons around South Carolina time. And while they absurdly overplayed Rev Wright, they also did a decent job of conveying Barack's response.

And I don't think there's a pervasive pro-Clinton bias. Far from it. There is a pervasive desire not to alienate partisan viewers, and a tendency to want to hype up the drama by making things sound closer than they are.

There is a pervasive desire not to alienate partisan viewers, and a tendency to want to hype up the drama by making things sound closer than they are.

Yeah, that's got it. Sunk that nail in nice and deep.

The main bias that all of the networks have been showing Clinton is more based on the self interest they have in keeping the horse race going. Just as the Politico article said recently that the media has been down playing just how small her chances actually are.

Tim Russert interviewing Tucker Carlson? The mind reels.

CNN and ABC news officially joined the Fox club this season- only they're not all rightwing. I can't stand much of MSNBC either- except Olberman-the only one in broadcast who seems to care about Iraq.

I rely on the Internet for 95% of the news; two news shows I still watch on T.V.- Jon Stewart and Charlie Rose.

As far as Wolf- he's a genuine jackass.

Olberman's point of view is a real contribution. But he could get three times as much news into his hour if he cut back on being being cute, on repeating his formulas, on repeating his often inane and pretentious guests. For every show in which there's 10 minutes of "wow, that was great coverage," there are two more where it's like, "we just watched the full hour and learned ... what?"

He's definitely on our team. I just wonder if he's in the news or the entertainment division.

Yeah.. I'd have to agree. I think it kind of makes his Murrow impression fall flat as a result which is unfortunate because he has plenty of legit stuff to say.

While were pounding on TV 'pundits,' can we also pile on Joe Scarborough, who may be the worst of them all? This AM, he was focused on (1) Obama's bowling score and (2) the "fact" that Hillary might be able to catch Obama in the popular vote. He threw a couple of meatballs to Howard Wolfson before letting Mika handle the Bosnia flap.

All the TV Media pundits are in Obama's pocket except for Carville. The most disgusting is Mathews homoerotic crush on him, he gets a "tingling running up his pantlegs" when he hears Obama speak. This reminds me of the TMP bloggers who were upset that TMP was a proHillary blog, I mean No Clue. If a pundit or blog does not bend over and hold there ankels cowtowing for Obama then they must be crazy.

So you love James Judas Carville. Do you know who he is married to. Does he know who he is married to. That clown called Bill Richardson a Judas for endorsing a fellow Democrat, but it is Carville who married a high level Republican Operative. James Carville is sleeping with the enemy. That makes him the real Judas. He is married to Mary Magdelene, but she washes only the feet of Republican men.

I turn the channel every time I hear Blitzer's voice. It's painful to watch him try to manipulate listeners with his loaded questions, shameless conclusory remarks and editorializing. I really preferred the self-respect of the old guard, like Jennings and Rather.

Scary to think how far out of touch with reality people like Blitzer must drift in their own minds after continuous manipulation of the truth.

And CNN's claim to be "the most trusted name in news" is just laughable. I'll take blogs with standards and international news sites that put forth a more complete range of perspectives--like watchingamerica.com.

I'm not familiar with the TMP blog. Maybe it has something to do with TMJ, which is grinding teeth.

David Brooks, while annoying, is more antiHillary than anything else. He'll turn on Barack this summer, but for now he's having fun piling on HRC.

Bilk's comment features not one but two gay themed references, one to call Matthews homoerotic, another to say the media offers its. Assuming "DemBillC" is an homage to Mr. Clinton, we politely suggest that, as a further homage, references to _ankle_ grabbing and scatological comments about the sexuality of others be relegated to "don't ask, don't tell."

Thank you.

Does anyone watch the Washington Journal on C-SPAN? They always have someone on who I strongly disagree with but the format allows for me to listen and consider their point of view.

For as dreadfully boring as C-SPAN can be, I really enjoy it. If you combine C-SPAN with the internet, I think you're getting the least amount of bias, simply because C-SPAN doesn't have so much background noise like "THE BEST POLITICAL TEAM ON TELEVISION" or "THE BIG BOARD" or anything like that.

The cablenets are to news what cheetohs are to food.
Getting your news from them makes as much sense as doing do all your grocery shopping at the 7/11.

articleman:

David Brooks turned on Obama at least 6 weeks ago when he documented, albeit with a heavy heart, in his NYT column, the Senator's leftist voting record.

avatar

I don't get it. You guys are sooo upset about Wolf calling a 1450 to 1350 delegate race close??Is that the worst case of media bias against your candidate you see?

avatar

Wow, things are really changing. Watched Lou Dobbs tonight and he was actually saying how biased the media has been against Hillary. 73% of the viewers supported him in a poll asking is it true that the Media is Biased against Hillary.
Lou made the Obama pundit look like a complete fool when he was calling on Hillary to quit. Lou was correctly saying that the Obama Campaign was trying to disenfranchise Florida and Michigan voters along with the remaining ten states still to vote. The Obama guy was whining away like a typical Obama Whiny Whiner and Lou said "do you mind if I finish?" It was classic. The race is turning. I can feel it. It was a HUGE mistake to try to slime Hillary into dropping out.
