Why I won't vote for Hillary
I agree that the progressive agenda is very important, but I see the chance of a progressive agenda moving forward with a Clinton presidency as very weak, perhaps not at all. I agree that there's little substantive difference between Obama's and Clinton's policies, but I believe Obama will be the only one capable of moving a progressive agenda forward because of his influence on changing how things in Washington work. It is the people - the nearly two million of us who have donated to his campaign - who will be the voices that keep pressure on our elected officials to do what is right for the country, not what is right for their political careers. Clinton cannot boast that same level of individual support, nor can she rely on it because her negative campaign tactics taken straight from the republican play book will have turned so many of us off.
I will not vote for Hillary because that vote would be an endorsement of politics as usual, an endorsement that says it's acceptable to tear down your fellow party member if that's what it takes to win. I have waited my entire adult life for a candidate I could be proud to vote for, as opposed to a candidate that is the lesser evil. I am tired of voting for candidates that I get stuck with, so this time I am voting my conscience. A Clinton presidency will mean more of the same, just as a McCain presidency would be more of the same. It is only a matter of degree to which things would be the same. Both Clinton and McCain presidencies would mean a continuation of corporate-owned government, and I for one have had enough.

So you would rather have 4 more years of Bush but only crazier? Square that with the families of those serving in Iraq. Or your grandchildren paying off the debt.

This kind of statement from supporters of both candidates has become a tread worn cliche.

I am a loyal Democrat. But I will not vote for Hillary Clinton - for this reason - she has run a Republican-style dirty campaign. How can any caring Democrat reward such behavior with a vote? Yes, it means four more years of dreadful Republican policies (McCain's won't be as dreadful as his predecessors). But if other Democrats do the same, perhaps the message will be sent and we will all be better off in the long run.
