What's The Name Of The Guy On First Base?

Who's on first?
That's right!
No, WHAT'S the name of the guy on first base?
NO! What's the name of the guy on second base. Who's on first!

Funny stuff...

Jon Stewart in a bit on "The Daily Show" Thursday night talking about a photo of our illustrious "Idiot-In-Chief" along side Dick "The Monster" Cheney described them as follows:

"That real-life Texas oil man and his allergic-to-light, succubus sidekick..."

Funny stuff too in the context of that show...

"That real-life Texas oil man and his allergic-to-light, succubus sidekick" have been at the top of an administration which has done more to destroy the constitution of the United States of America, take civil liberties from her citizens and bring our country's reputation around the world to all-time lows than any other President/Vice President in the glorious history of America.

I apologize for mentioning Abbott/Costello in the same story as these two monsters but when I saw this the other day:

http://www.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=77506&videoChannel=1

I couldn't help thinking to myself... "Which of this evil duo is worse? Is it the dolt who attempts to be a song-and-dance man while waiting to endorse the man whose campaign he destroyed in 2000 with blatant and horrible lies, or is it the puppeteer who Jon Daily so accurately describes as "his allergic-to-light, succubus sidekick."

While I'm trying to figure out which is more evil, let's take a look at some of their "accomplishments."

1. Corrupting our system and stealing the highest office in our land in 2000.
2. Failing to act on ACCURATE intelligence to prevent the 9/11 attacks.
3. Failing to finish the job in Afghanistan when they had the support of most.
4. Using lies, arrogance, greed and FAULTY intelligence to take us into Iraq.
5. Ignoring the suffering in New Orleans after Katrina.
6. Outing a covert CIA agent for political reasons.
7. Using more lies, arrogance and FEAR to manipulate the vote in 2004.
8. Authorizing the TORTURE of other human beings!
9. Using more lies, arrogance and FEAR to attempt to hold power in 2006.
10. Using the veto pen to help continue the telecom conspiracy and torture.

And the beat goes on and on and on...

I wish I knew the answer to the world's problems. I wish I knew how to turn back the clock so Americans could change the history which has already been written. I wish the Democrats in Congress would find their spines and investigate, indict and impeach this "comedy team."

Unfortunately, we're stuck on this out-of-control roller coaster to Hell until at least 2009. The economy is in recession and nearing a DEPRESSION. Corruption, greed and arrogance of the corporate, Neo-Con, industrial-military complex continues to feed their puppet and his "sidekick" money and power. Gas is nearing $4 per gallon. 63,000 jobs were lost last month in this country. Oil money flows like the flood waters over New Orleans levees into the middle east to continue funding terrorism.

And the beat goes on and on and on...

And George W. Bush dances on the White House steps. And the "free press" stands there laughing at him. And our troops keep dying. And the bombs keep exploding. And the beat goes on.

Wow... drip, drip, drip... What a profound argument, Lt. You forgot to mention the 500 points the Dow dropped in the past 5 days. But you are an optimist, right? Only the up days count...

Today's wonderful "surge" is, as you know, the result of the powers in D.C. printing or borrowing $200 BILLION new dollars to throw at the mortgage mess. The Fed may drop the prime rate another 3/4 point next week and the Dow may respond with another spectacular day. You have history on your side as far as long-term stock market rise but short term... Let's see where it is in a week.

Drip, drip, drip.

Here's some good political satire for you.

Ferraro told the Daily Breeze of Torrance, Calif.: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

Ferraro also said Obama has it easy because of a "very sexist media."

"I think what America feels about a woman becoming president takes a very secondary place to Obama's campaign - to a kind of campaign that it would be hard for anyone to run against," she said. "For one thing, you have the press, which has been uniquely hard on her. It's been a very sexist media. Some just don't like her. The others have gotten caught up in the Obama campaign."

Last week, a former adviser to Obama resigned after calling Clinton "a monster."

During a Christmas sermon, Wright tried to compare Obama's upbringing to Jesus at the hands of the Romans.

Barack Obama's Pastor Jeremiah Wright:
"Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people," Wright said. "Hillary would never know that."

"Hillary ain't never been called a n*****. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person."

In his Jan. 13, 2008 sermon, Wright said:

"Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain't! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty."

Unique perspective here, Chuck.

I'm still preparing for as you put it "The greatest depression this country has ever known",martial law, Al Sadr,etc,etc..

How's that Olbermann Kool aid?

I know you can't be seriously trying to spin the country's current situation positively! You must not have any of your vast wealth invested in Bear Stearns. And I'm now certain none of your relatives work there. Can you say "ENRON?"

And it's just the beginning. There are other top banks that will fail. The FED can only drop 2 more points... Then what?

For the first time since the great depression our government is making these kinds of adjustments and you still manage to try to get under my skin with your ridiculous arguments.

I told my wife today that I'd hear from you tonight because of the "happy" news on the DOW.

How's the BUSH kool aid? How's the Limbaugh kool aid? It's getting to the point, Lt., that I'm seriously considering not responding to your silly arguments. It's a waste of my time.

Bernanke, Bush and Petreaus may be able to keep you from jumping from a tall building but those of us who live out here in the real world know what's happening.

Take your silly drip, drip, drip and put it where the sun doesn't shine.

Enough with the personal attacks.

Just because I disagree with you on just about everything political doesn't mean I wish you wrong.

Here's a video I saw of Chris Matthews on MSNBC. He compares Obama's speech yesterday to Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

Funny stuff....

http://en.sevenload.com/videos/PZuARw3/matthews-race

So.. you've already told me that you think Jerry Falwell is one of the most evil people in the world.
Curious what you think of Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright??

I hate ALL "hate" speech. It's no more right from a black preacher than it is from a white one.

By the way, I said nothing which was a personal attack. Where do you get that? I've never attacked you or anyone on this site with personal rhetoric. You, on the other hand, have done so to me several times. And in very venomous language.

You've insinuated that I'm unpatriotic and a coward among other things. You were extremely harsh when you were mad about what Murtha said about Haditha. So let's not get self-righteous, OK?

As a matter of fact, I defended you when others were commenting negatively against you.

You lost 3/4 of what you gained yesterday. But you probably won't comment on that because you only use that ridiculous drip, drip, drip crap when the market jumps. It's a big picture thing so we'll know who is right in a month or two.

"I'm unpatriotic and a coward among other things"

No, I did not.

On Haditha:
You had your own trial and conviction on those Marines to fit your flavor of the month.
It pissed me off, and still does.

I don't need defending from a pack of left wing liberal kooks, so thanks.. but no thanks. I enjoy the attacks actually, as most posters on the old site had nothing to offer but name calling, as it looks like you have now resorted.----- stick it up your ass, little prick,etc,etc..

I have no doubt you will quit posting after your party loses the election and your bash Bush mantra takes a couple months to change into bash McCain.

On the market:
Oil will drop like a rock soon, and the dollar and the market will rally. Either way the Dow is a fraction off it's all time highs and the economy continues to grow, although slow we are far from a depression. 30yr mortgages 5.6%, inflation 2%, low taxes. The liberal media is in control, at some point economic statistics will prevail.

I love how we talk econ now, no more Iraq.. Funny how things evolve eh? I guess that's how a liberal spin cycle works. We used to get daily body counts, now we talk about how much the Dow moved. I knew 2 years ago and still do, that our military would be allowed to win in Iraq.
Your work with PTSD is admirable, I respect that. Using soldiers to advance political parties is not.

It IS funny how things evolve, Lt. As I've said many times, the future will show which of us was right. The discussion of the DOW has mostly been initiated by you. We are on the edge of a cliff and I'm afraid there may be a depression. At the very least, we are in a deep recession now.

The Bear Stearns crash will, in the end, be more of an economic horror than Enron. and there will be other investment bank failures. The FBI last week expanded their criminal investigation to 17 of them. Bear Stearns is the tip of the iceberg.

The "Surge" has moved some of the enemy into bunkers to hide until opportunity knocks again. But it will ultimately be demonstrated to be the failure it was. We can't buy peace in Iraq with lives or money.

I regret there isn't more in the news about the horror in Iraq. 3,991 Americans now DEAD! 30,000 horribly wounded. And those numbers are also the tip of an iceberg! The consequences of the future PTSD in these troops will cost BILLIONS!

My blogs have never been related to who is in power. Whether they stop or not depends on my physical and psychological ability to continue to write and post.

It's true that Bush is the worst president in our country's history. Nothing can change that. We've discussed McCain's failures before so I won't go into that again. I used to support him but he sold his soul and once that happens, it can't be bought back.

If I'm wrong about the monsters in this administration and we are allowed to have an election in November, I will do everything I can to help Democrats take the White House and Congress back. Even if that happens, it will take a decade to get back on track in the world.

I always told my son that our system of government was the worst in the world... Except for all the rest. Nobody loves this country more than I do. It is not an indictment of the United States to expose the Bush administration for what it is and was. To the contrary, it is the quintessence of patriotism to fight injustice and corruption when it becomes dangerous to our system as I feel the Bush administration has been.

I may or may not respond to any more of your comments. TPMCafe has taken a giant step backward with the new site and it has lost most of its relevance so I may just focus on dailykos in the future.

Good luck to you. Although you don't need any, right? For all these years we've argued and neither of us has moved the other. I guess it will have to be a stalemate.
