Turning to Bill O'Reilly

avatar

It's a sad state of affairs when I feel I have to watch Fox News and Bill O'Reilly to get fair and unslanted coverage of the Democratic contest.    But that's the sad truth.  Am I have become very angry because of it.   So angry, that not only will I vote for Hillary, I will oppose Barack Obama.   Last fall I jumped up and down in my kitchen when Obama threw his hat in the ring, I had been hoping he would do it.   As the months went along my enthusiasm began to erode.   I watched the media, Chris Matthews, then Keith Obermann and Jack McCaffertyassassinating Clinton on a regular basis, while trumpeting Obama's virtues.   I read as the bloggers continued the assault on Hillary, not attacks on the issues, or her Senate record, but sneering personal attacks.   I watched as Black America exaggerated Bill Clinton's statements into a serious racist event, and then blamed Hillary for it.   I knew I wasn't imagining it when the Center for Fairness in the Media came out with a study proving that Hillary was being unfairly targeted and vilified.   I couldn't stomach being a part of a "rigged" contest, and with-drew from Obama's camp.   I couldn't celebrate a victory in a contest that was a farce.   I would be fine to see the contest play out, and get behind the Democrat that won, which is what I have always done...when the playing field was level.   But not now.   I will not support Obama because his minions have made me, and many other Democrats, very angry.  I will vote for McCain, and donate to his campaign as well.... as long as he conducts himself in a fair way, and the media doesn't try to "appoint" him.   I would simply refuse to vote at all in that instance.   I have too much integrity to watch the national media, cable news  and bloggers over-whelm the election process with money, propaganda and character assassination and go along with it.   Now, sadly, I watch Fox News to try to get impartial commentary on how Obama and Clinton are doing, and what they're prospects are.   I certainly can't rely on the majority of the liberal media to be fair or impartial, they have an agenda, and a dog in this fight, and it's sickenly obvious to me.

I'll call Obama and tell him you won't be voting for him. I'm sure he'll be in touch.

Many of us feel the same towards Hillary Rove Clinton.

Oh my. If this isn't satire, my heart weeps for you.

You believe in Barack Obama but "the liberal media" and "bloggers" have turned you away from his campaign? You were jumping for joy when he got in the race and nothing about the candidate has changed your mind, but "his supporters" have turned you away from him and into the arms of Hillary Clinton and now John McCain? This "farce" of a campaign has caused you to drop your support from a candidate whose virtues you believe in and to support a candidate who couldn't be less virtuous or farcical?

Like I said, this little piece is either incredibly funny or incredibly sad.

This is a joke, right?

Kind of like Lieberman I would say.

Well, you still have the Clinton News Network, friend. Your racist buddy Lou Dobbs certainly hates Obama. Have fun.

You think Bill O'Reilly doesn't have a stake in the Democratic Party Primary?

You think Fox News is impartial?

You don't think the Republicans have something to do with the infighting?

You should reexamine your assumptions.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

(I'm sure someone else will be happy to do it instead...)

Okay. So in addition to a vast right-wing conspiracy, you feel there is also a vast left-wing conspiracy who is acting on an unfair bias against Clinton?

Hmmm. That's an enormous proposition to consider.

Man... it's really sad to lose Obama supporters with your depth commitment not only to Obama but also the Democratic party and its ideals.

What you seem not to understand (and I don't know whether you really don't understand, or are just faking it) is that while the various statements made by HRC's proxies including her husband and Aunt Geraldine may or may not technically parse as racist, their obvious purpose is to continually remind people that Obama is black, Obama is black, Obama is black, and to encourage people, if they are in any degree motivated to come out and vote against him for that reason, to do so.

It worked in OH, where the entire southern half of the state is well known for acting like they lost the Civil War.

In PA HRC is using this approach to go after one of the few demographics reliably supporting HRC lately, Catholics with a high-school education or less. PA is about one-third Catholic.

And BTW, HRC loses Texas.

What you seem not to understand is that Sen. Obama is constantly using subtle but demeaning sexist language against Clingon and he's ALWAYS getting away with it.

I also agree that it was Obama's tactic to exploit race against the Clintons because they know it's such an explosive issue and it's the only way they would win against the "black president".

So Obama is having his cake and eating it too.

Ferraro is totally right. It's okay to be a sexist jerk, but it's not OK to be a racist.

Sen. Obama is constantly using subtle but demeaning sexist language against Clingon
I would think that would be more racist than sexist.

Unless you are talking specifically about his comments regarding their women.

Also, it's spelled with a K.

I agree completely.

I think that after gaining a whopping six delegates in the big Two-Step Tuesday primaries, that the Anti-Clinton Liberal Media should have been much more fair to Hillary Clinton. The mere fact that her Tiara Of Media Ascent was not gleefully placed upon her head by Sean Hannity and Matt Drudge (in an official capacity), speaks volumes to the bias of the press. After all, this puts her ahead on delegates for the month (until Mississippi)! And the fact that no major outlet has yet mentioned that crossover Republican support for Her has increased dramatically since Fireball McCain became the presumptive nominee, that is simple electoral blasphemy; clearly either party benefits by the Royal Clinton Mandate of Extended Bitter Infighting (XBI).

That Samantha Power was allowed to live is simply unjust; to openly speak ill of Her Royal Hillaryness is more than just bad form; it is "aid and comfort" to those who would destroy our way of life (the definition of Treason). When Barack Hussein (muslim, muslim) OsamaObama whines on about how these "negative attacks" are "the politics of the past," he's sooo not getting called out for the kneecapper he is by using such inflammatory language. That so much of the media would dare speak about PresidentSenator Clinton without abject reverrence is an insult to Saint President BushHer Royal Hillarity.

I'm totally with you. Enough is Enough!!!
