The NYT's Maureen Dowd on the positions of Democrats Big Wigs
Maureen Dowd seems to allude to animosity or at least lack of friendship between the Clintons and pretty much all Democratic big wigs including: Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi and Jimmy Carter. These are also the people who may have a big influence on the remaining superdelegates.
One can only hope she's right...

The Clintons have a history of breaking the Democratic party. The party was always pulled into their personal dramas and forced to defend them, over and over. The lion's share was b.s. -- I know that. But some of it was not. Certainly Monica was not -- that was Bill Clinton, and only Bill Clinton. The Clintons had the most spectacular loss of Congressional Democratic power on their watch.
And they're tearing the party apart again. Why they think they are entitled to a win based on the wreckage in their wake is beyond me.
And Bill Clinton infers that Obama is unpatriotic?
Come on.

"The Clintons have a history of breaking the Democratic party."
Like endorsing Joe Lieberman, contributing money to his campaign, and Bill appearing at campaign events for Holy Joe after he lost the Democratic primary. Lieberman goes on to disassociate himself from the Democratic Party and continues to pimp for more use of the military in the Middle East. Does this reflect poor Clinton judgment? Does this reflect a lack of seriousness about getting out of Iraq? Does this show ineptitude at building consensus on the Hill? Was this a rejection of the Democratic Party?
The answer to these four questions is: "Yes." "Yes." "Yes." And, "yes."
