The Conversation: The Next Level
So everyone is trying to figure out if Obama has already won. Let´s just make it clear: Obama has already won. The numbers say he has won, and in the end, elections come down to numbers.
This conversation needs to reach the next level: why is Clinton still in the race?
If she has almost no chance of winning without blowing up the Democratic Party, what are her motivations?
And in general, what the heck is going on???????

She's doing what Clintons do best, tanking the party for their own gain.

She's just positioning herself for a run in 2012, after ensuring that the Democratic Party loses this year. I've really come to believe that. If possible, she'll get the super-delegates to make a deal with Obama, giving her the V-P slot. That will position her really well as the 'heir apparent' in four years, since no one blames the V-P for a loss.
But whether that's possible or not, she'll plan to bleed Barack Obama and help McCain take the presidency. He's old and may well only serve one term. And Hillary will be back in 2012 without that pesky Obama to interrupt her plans. In fact, she'll be able to say, "I told you so. See what a mistake you made by not nominating me?"

There's no way Obama would take her on as his VP.
I can't imagine the Supers demanding such either. He could simply say no thanks, and let them vote for Hillary. (would not be good for the party).
That would make Hillary the nominee who would lose to McCain, and it would be a still Young Obama ready in 2012.
