The Clinton-Wright photo- why not on front page of TPM?????
There is no reason to avoid it, the Obama folks seem to think its their get out of the bad graces of millions of folks card, picturing the Reverend with the then President of the USA.
Fresh on the heels of an appeal for a higher tone, an elevated discussion, the Obama campaign, imploding on itself, opts to play the guilt by association card they have been vehemently decrying lately.
The gaping chasm between rhetoric and actions are becoming increasingly evident, most likely the result of an inexperienced candidate flailing about trying to drag anyone down with him.
The Clintons did not make a national issue of the Reverend, that was a phenomena that just took off, ABC first and it went from there. Now, in the aftermath we are to think a photo from over a decade ago makes a moral equivalance between sitting in the pews, going on trips to Africa, discussions between close friends, we are led to believe that all that from Obama's spiritual mentor over 20 years is the same as a dusty photograph and I doubt Clinton knew this guy's Wright whole story at any rate.
The hole between the Obama rhetoric and the actions is big enough to drive a herd of bison through. It is certainly not any change I have been waiting for. But, we all know, Hillary will do anything to get elected...they will use that line again too, shameful, but tolerated by the liberals intent on ignoring the 600 gorilla in the den

I don't like Clinton, but suggestions to that photo at the head of the news is moronic. In one sense, I suppose it shows that the Reverend is obviously well-known and respected enough to meet with the President, but that's hardly the knee-jerk reaction the supporters seem to be having. Why not show the new videos of the extended Wright sermons that put his inflammatory words in context? That way, everyone's perspective, whether they still dislike Wright, is expanded.
For all these Obama supporters who are defending Wright, why would they try to milk his controversy to smear the Clintons? It's so petty, among other things.

The photo isn't of news interest, and I'm not a Clinton supporter. Though, if the report I read on this site, that the Clintons want to keep perpetuating the Wright "scandal," then it should probably be a footnote to any resulting stories they're floating. It's only relevant if the Clintons are the ones trying to make an issue out of Wright.
