The Best of the Clinton Surrogates
To say that Governor Ed Rendell of Pensylvania is easily the best of the Clinton surrogates is true, but quite insufficent. He is so much more persuasive than any of her inner circle -- Mark Penn has to be the worst -- that it's ridiculous. And unlike the candidate herself or her husband, he does it without losing his cool or insulting his adversaries.
Full disclosure: I'm for Obama. But one-on-one against Bill Richardson on FOX News today, Rendell made Richardson look like a rookie, without visibly antagonizing anyone.
If Obama feels he needs to choose a Clinton loyalist for his VP candidate, he could do a lot worse than Rendell.

Well, Rendell's fun to watch and he's no dummy, but he looked and sounded pretty weak against Obama's calm and unflappable supporter Tom Daschle a few weeks ago on Meet the Press. I guess it all depends upon who is matched up against whom (or is it whom is matched up against who?? hah!...whatever)!

Obviously haven't heard Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Yes there are African Americans for Hillary. Hoping she runs against Voinivich here in Ohio. She is a real Democrat...should be listened to.

I saw Stephanie Tubbs Jones get the better of that hapless Obama stand-in a few weeks ago. Yes, she's more competent than most of Clinton's aides, but really, Idiotic would have made mincemeat out of him.
