REFLECTIONS ON "We the People"
I was born and raised in the Ozarks. I remember clearly on the day I started school, having it explained to me that I was to be nice to “those” kids, but don’t bring them home and don’t cross McConnell Street and go into their neighborhood. Everyone told Polack & N****r jokes. In church; II Corinthians, chapter 6 with it’s comments on “touch not the unclean” and “unequally yoked” were translated into a warning against inter-racial marriage. This was the early 70’s.
