Question for Clinton supporters: Is there anything you wish she handled differently?

I'm an Obama supporter and there are some things about him that gave me pause. For example, The Rev. Wright video clips hit me pretty hard. I was really disappointed to discover that Obama was associated with him.
But I didn't say, what's the big deal? I didn't reflexively fling mud back in the direction of Hillary.
It doesn't matter to me how you feel about that issue. What I'm curious about is whether or not there is any issue or any behavior on Hillary's part that you were or are less than proud of?

Sure, there's a couple, The McCain and I have crossed the CinC threshold and the Bosnia lie. But, you know, I don't expect any politician to be perfect. I'm not perfect myself. Truth is, if my life was placed under a microscope there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that I'd ever get elected.

Just curious, Gary, did you seek out more information about the Wright comments or rely on the endless loops of TV coverage? I had long ago checked out Wright and the church was ok with it. (But I also hail from a more "sympathetic" demographic.)

I'm not a member of the Hillary Corps -- far from it -- but just curious about that one part of your blog post that mentions the clips?

Are Hillary supporters of a similar mindset, upset about something and reluctant to find out more about those things (because they are afraid they might damage further their opinion of her) so they avoid the research in lieu of "loyalty."

Sorry for the ambiguity regarding the Rev. Wright clips. I knew as soon as I saw them that they were 5 carefully selected minutes of a man's life. I did seek out more information and read some of his sermons in their entirety. In addition, I watched a speech that Barack Obama gave in March of 2006 on the subject of religion and politics and how difficult a subject race can be. In it, he talked about what he calls the rules of collaboration, advocating a less toxic discussion of race to begin to heal.

I understand, (I think I do anyway), your comment about being from a more sympathetic demographic.

The sensibilities required to refrain from judging a man without having walked a mile in his shoes transcends demographics.

I wish she had attacked Obama harder and earlier on his phony charges of racism in her campaign. I would like her to have run a more effective oppo research shop -- she should have found and run the material about Rev. Wright very early. It may well sink Democratic hopes in the GE and should have been dealt with earlier before primary loyalties hardened.

Her campaign staff needed to have more plan B's.
