Polls on the 2008 General Election = Bunk

There seems to be a lot of chatter about the poll numbers coming out recently that show McCain running strong against both Obama and Clinton.  The numbers show McCain close in such tried and true blue territories like Massachusetts and New Jersey.  Some Clinton supporters are chucking out these numbers as proof Obama isn't the right man for the job in a general.
Please, people.  This is absurd.
These numbers don't provide any sort of accurate insight into the strength of either Democrat in the upcoming general election.  Think about it.  Obama and Clinton are in a pitched battle for the nomination.  Their teams are fighting to dominate every available news cycle with jabs, crosses and haymakers.
Meanwhile, on the Republican side... Er... well... let's get back to the Democrats.
My friends, these are McCain's salad days.  My friends, his numbers will be high simply because he's not in the spotlight.  My friends, once the Democratic Primary is finally over and a candidate has emerged and people hear him say "my friends" for the millionth $%^@ing time his numbers will come back to Earth.  Then, and only then, will any of these polls accurately reflect what's going on.
Well, maybe not Zogby...
