Already being discussed at this blog posting by Cynthia Ganz. (Although she didn't mention where she got it from.)

In academia, there’s a significant difference: professors have tenure while lecturers do not.
This will come as good news to my wife, a professor who has been looking for months for a tenure-track position in her field. "Honey, you can stop looking - apparently you have tenure! Mark Penn says so!"

Yeah, I've been a professor, too, at some point in the past, but I never had tenure. Penn simply doesn't know what he's talking about ... but when has that ever stopped the Hillary campaign?

There is embellishment and there is lying through the skin of your teeth.
Look, there are two ways to handle a potentially damaging issue.
One is to say that the candidate you support is no worse than the opposing candidate.
The other is how Obama handled the Rev. Wright issue. He took it head on and delivered a compelling and historic speech on race.
That's leadership.
This, to me, is a defining difference between the two candidates.
My opinion, no need to fire back.

I noticed that too and I won $10 from a Clinton supporter. Actually, I should say Obama won, because I made my friend donate it to the Obama campaign. I told him that I guaranteed that the Clinton's would release a bunch of "misstatements" from Obama by the end of the day instead of dealing with the issue. I told him, "Obama has leadership qualities I like. He generally tackles the problems and doesn't do the GOP/schoolyard thing and whine 'But s/he did it too!'."

Yep, having been an untenured assistant professor, and a tenured associate professor, the first claim is as bogus as the rest. Even when I had my first Lecturer postion, you are called "Professor", because that is what you are doing. "Teacher" is a term that is used in K-12. Maybe Halpern and Penn never got past that point?
Anyway, thanks for posting today's "Laughing Points" from Camp Clinton.
I hadn't figured it out until today, but you're one of those volunteer bloggers the Hillary campaign uses to spread their daily talking points, eh? Or do they pay you for this?

Oh Lalo how could he - how could he say he was conceived because of Selma. I am horrified, I am horrified. This man must be stopped!
This is a pathetic attempt to deflect attention from Clinton's lies and serial exaggerations.
el
Bosnia sniper fire (duck, Lalo, duck!)
FMLA - a busy first 16 days of th Clinton Presidency Hillary spent getting that passed
SCHIP - the long hours writing the law, lobbying, revising it..
NAFTA - those official White House meetings where she spoke out against NAFTA.
Kosovo borders - look, Hilary can time travel! She time travelled to open the borders, time travelled back to the day after and then went to Macedonia.
Lalo, you can do better than this. At least many of your posts have challenged me. This one is just too easy.

I need to head home from work so I only have time for a couple, but here we go:
"Obama claimed credit for nuclear leak legislation that never passed."
"In 2006, Obama was an original co-sponsor of legislation to expand U.S. cooperation to destroy conventional weapons. It also expands the State Department's ability to detect and interdict weapons and materials of mass destruction. The legislation was included in an appropriations bill that was later signed into law by the president."
"Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) and Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) announced that a provision authored by Obama and Senator Hagel (R-NE) in the Senate and advanced by Schiff in the House requiring a comprehensive nuclear threat reduction plan passed as part of the omnibus appropriations bill."
Congress, S. 2566, which Obama co-sponsored, did not pass, but its provisions were included in H.R. 6060/P.L. 109-706. Ergo...yes, the legislation passed.
Selma: The point about Selma is pure semantic games and spin on the part of the Clinton memo/Phil Singer.
Rezko: The issue is dead, but I guess you gotta keep beating the horse if your own candidate doesn't have enough positives of her own to lead the narrative.
Health Care:
"Sen. Obama said ‘I passed a law that put Illinois on a path to universal coverage,’ but Obama health care legislation merely set up a task force."
"In 2004, Obama sponsored and helped pass legislation that expanded and made permanent Illinois' KidCare program by raising eligibility from 185% to 200% of the federal poverty level. The legislation provided coverage for an additional 20,000 children and 65,000 more Illinois adults in the first year, and by 2007 had expanded health care to 70,000 kids and 84,000 adults." Look it up: 93rd GA, SB 130, 3R P 42-13-2; Signed into law 6/30/03, PA 93-0063.
Ethics reform:
"The final package is the strongest ethics legislation to emerge from Congress yet. ...But Mr. Reid, along with Sens. Russell Feingold (D-Wis.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.), deserves credit for assembling and passing this package."
-Washington Post
"The Senate gave final approval Thursday to a far-reaching package of new ethics and lobbying rules...After overcoming resistance inside his own party, Mr. Obama pushed for a provision requiring, for the first time, disclosure by lobbyists who bundle political contributions of more than $15,000 in six months."
-Washington Post
Exagerated about tornado death toll:
What? No, seriously. What? He corrected himself later on in his speech. See, this is a good example of a mistatement vs. a lie. Lies are repeated and embelleshed on further, not corrected minutes later by a weary man mid-speech.

Oh my...There isn't anything new there. Did the Clinton's go back through their August '07 files to dig that stuff up? And most of it is so trifling that it only makes the Clinton's look dumb for bringing it up.
There's a difference between misspeaking and flat out lying. When Sen. Clinton has been telling the same story for the past 4 months--and I knew it was bullshit the first time I heard it back in December--only to claim to misspeak now it's a lie.
She says she was sleep-deprived and misspoke. Sleep depravation does make you continually repeat a lie for 4 months straight. And if this is what she does when she's sleep-deprived, how the hell are we supposed to believe that she can handle a situation at 3am? As iredit wrote:
so sleep deprived eh. How about the 3:00 AM phone call?
"Oh Bill, it's for you"
