Obama/Richardson vs Mccain/Crist or McCain/Romney
Now I know I am getting ahead of myself here but after watching the Richardson endorsement, I think the Obama/Richardson ticket would be THE dream ticket of the general election. Richardson brings so much to the table to bolster Obama:
1-He has foreign policy experience
2-He has executive experience
3-He actually served in a successful administration
4-He speaks Spanish so he can work on getting the Latino vote in Tx, Arizona, CA, NM, NV,etc,...
5-He is a shrewd negotiator who can push Obama's proposal to negotiate with both friends and enemies. He actually negotiated with the North Koreans and Saddam.
6-He has less of the baggage of the Clinton days.
Now barring a miracle in which Clinton wins Penn, Indiana, North Carolina and WV, I think Edwards may well break his silence and endorse Obama as well before the end of the primary season. One can only hope...

And as an Edwardsite until recently, wouldn't John Edwards skills be amazing in the renewed and returned-to-constitutionality post of Attorney General?

Sure, but how many Democratic senators can we afford to lose?
One reason I like the idea of Warner as VP is that no Democratic positions have to be sacrificed for it. Of course, he also has the executive experience as well as strong support in the South.

yes, absolutely. Edwards is a fighter and a workhorse and the AG position actually suits his aptitudes style more. hey, every football can't be the quarterback, but thé quarterback couldn't do it alone.
but honestly, and perhaps i'm gonna be thought a jerk for saying this, but do you think that america is ready to put a Black man AND a Latino in office? White Flight like a mofo, dude!
i poersonally love the idea, but come on folks, we need some Affirmative Action for the White folks....we need a Larry Bird, people!
Biden, anyone?

Mr. Biden,
Interesting post but I think he should run with someone like Jim Webb. He is a veteran and will crush McCain on foreign policy. Along with Gov Kane and Mark Warner he could help Obama win VA. I am a black woman but we have to think sratecally and Obama should run with a white male. Jim Webb or someone like him would be perfect.

Bettie,
I like Tim Kaine and he seems to have a decent rapport with Obama. I however think that Richardson allows Obama to "fix" all his shortcomings with one selection. Both Jim Web and Mark Warner have executive experience and some foreign policy experience but none have actually done negotiations with foreign leaders and enemies of the US. I think Web was only an under-secretary in the Reagan Administration. Richardson has done all that and he also has the Hispanic dimension which is a huge asset given Obama's difficuties in winning the Latino vote. But both Web and Warner could be good candidates for Defense or State secretaries with John Edwards as Attorney General if he comes around. Even with the monster gaffe, I still want Samantha Power as a Senior foreign policy adviser in an Obama White House. She's just too important a brain to waste.
