Obama supporters: Would you vote for Hillary in November?

avatar

Are you a current Obama supporter who (for any reason) will not vote for Hillary Clinton in the general election if she gets the Democratic nomination for President?

Then please take a moment to sign this petition.

I would, just for the fact that she would be the one replacing the retiring superior court judges, but it would be the hardest thing I have ever done. Rewarding the type of behavior that has kept me out of politics all my life makes me feel physically ill.

I'm a "moderate/independent" voter. If there was ever any chance that I'd have voted for Hillary it would have been with a clothespin on my nose. She's a neo-con on foreign policy, right down to the fearmongering of the "3am" spot. I'll happily vote for Democrats, but not for neo-con Democrats like Lieberman and Hillary. Still, there could be considerations that would have gotten me to hold my nose and vote for Hillary.

I won't say it's impossible now, but it's much, much less likely that I'd vote for her if she got the nomination.

I don't know what McCains SC picks would be like, but McCain and the wingnuts don't get along at all, and McCain's SC picks could easily turn out to be fairly moderate. Plus, he'd (hopefully in spite of Hillary) have to get his picks through a strongly Democratic congress.

McCain is a neo-con hawk like Hillary, only more so. But again, he'd be a neo-con hawk with Congress controlled by the opposing party. Hillary would be a neo-con hawk with Congress controlled by the same party and therefore under more pressure to go along with her.

On social issues, I have a lot of faith in Hillary's inability to learn from mistakes, or even admit mistakes, and therefore the very high probability that she'll do to health care reform what she did fifteen years ago.

In other words, I think both would be bad choices, and it's not obvious which would be worse overall. But if Hillary gets elected, the Democratic party moves even further in a direction that I'm not at all interested in following. You get more of what you reward, and I don't want Hillary or more of anything like Hillary.

The only way I'll vote for her is if it doesn't look like my state will go blue, which is highly unlikely.

I am an Obama supporter BECAUSE I am unable to bring myself to vote for Sen. Clinton. If she is the nominee, the Dems will force me to look for a third option. I will most likely vote for Russ Feingold.
